Weather forecast September 4, 2024: Storm No. 3 causes 5m high waves, hot weather in the North and Central regions

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 7:00 p.m. on September 3, the center of storm No. 3 (storm Yagi ) was located at about 18.7 degrees North latitude; 118.5 degrees East longitude, in the eastern sea area of the North East Sea. The strongest wind near the center of the storm was level 10 (89-102 km/h), gusting to level 12, moving in the West Northwest direction, about 10 km/h.

In the next hours, storm No. 3 will move mainly in the West Northwest direction, traveling 10-15km per hour, with little change in intensity.

Due to the influence of storm Yagi, the eastern sea of the North East Sea has strong winds of level 8-9, the area near the storm's eye has winds of level 10-11, gusting to level 13; the sea is rough, waves are 2-4m high, the area near the storm's eye is 3-5m.

From September 5 to 6, the storm may reach very strong storm level in the northern sea area of the North East Sea, strong winds may reach level 14, gusting to level 17 near the storm center, waves may increase to 7 - 9m.

On land, today (September 4) to September 5, the North will have showers and thunderstorms in some places in the late afternoon and at night; sunny days, hot in some places.

In the Central region, in the late afternoon and at night, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some heavy rain in some places. In the South, in the late afternoon and at night, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some places having heavy rain. During the day, it will be sunny, with some places having hot sun.

The Central Highlands and the South have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with rain in the afternoon and evening, moderate to scattered thunderstorms, and locally heavy rain. Thunderstorms may bring tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind.
