Hue: Heavy rain in upstream causes flood to rise very quickly

On the morning of October 27, the Hue City Civil Defense Command said that heavy rain upstream caused floods on the Huong and Bo rivers to rise rapidly, flooding residential areas.

Forecast for 10:00 AM on October 27th: Water levels in the Huong and Bo rivers will continue to rise above alarm level 3 (alarm level 3 on the Huong River is 3.5m; alarm level 3 on the Bo River is 4.5m).

In the downstream areas of the Bo and Huong rivers, floodwaters are flowing rapidly and overflowing into residential areas. People are urgently raising their belongings and preparing to evacuate to protect their lives.

Police in Hung Loc commune, Hue City, evacuated the elderly and children from the flooded area and helped residents elevate their belongings.

Currently, the police, military, and border guards are coordinating with local authorities and rapid response forces to implement response measures and evacuate people from dangerous areas.
