Students who want to study abroad can learn German at THT Education Joint Stock Company (Hac Thanh ward).
In 2023, after graduating from high school and being admitted to the University of Natural Resources and Environment, Le Quynh Nga, born in 2005 (Nam Sam Son ward) decided to change direction, not going to university but instead preparing for vocational study in Germany. Quynh Nga's direction is a new choice, with a practical mindset, instead of the university path which is considered "traditional".
Quynh Nga said: “I chose nursing because this profession is in high demand in Germany, has a stable income, and suits my passion for taking care of others. I started learning German from the end of July 2023 until July 2024 when I registered for the B1 certificate exam and passed. I just had a Visa interview and am waiting for the results, so I continue to learn German to prepare for the next journey.”
Currently, in Germany, the “dual” study abroad program (study and work) stands out with a 3-year model of both studying theory at school and doing practical work at a business. Students are paid from 900 - 1,200 euros/month (about 25 - 35 million VND), enough to cover their living expenses. After graduation, if they meet the standard conditions, students will be retained to work and have the opportunity to settle down.
Ms. Nguyen Nguyen Ngoc, Head of Admissions Department, THT Education Joint Stock Company (Hac Thanh Ward), said: "In recent years, the number of students choosing to study German has increased significantly, especially in the group wanting to study vocational training in Germany."
In addition to language, Ms. Nguyen Ngoc emphasized that psychological factors and life skills are also necessary provisions when studying vocational training in Germany: “German is a difficult language, requiring students to study seriously, persistently believe in their choice. Besides, when going to Germany, you also need to fully prepare the necessary skills to be independent, communicate, work in groups, handle arising situations... In addition, it is also indispensable to understand German culture to avoid "shock" and integrate well in a new dynamic environment."
Similarly, Le Thuc Dat (Tan Ninh commune), after graduating from high school in 2024, also chose to study Japanese at Soman International Human Resources Training and Supply Joint Stock Company (Hac Thanh ward) to study abroad under the Tokutei vocational training program in Japan.

Thuc Dat shared: “After carefully researching information through many different channels such as Facebook, TikTok and even through career orientation programs at school, I learned that in Japan, the specific skills program (Tokutei Gino) was implemented since 2019 to attract skilled technical workers from other countries, commonly in the fields of nursing, mechanics, restaurants, agriculture , construction... Vietnam is one of the countries with a large number of vocational students and technical interns in Japan, so I chose to study vocational training in Tokutei Japan. I found that this program is cheap, with prices starting from only 60 million VND. In addition, following this program, I also have many career development opportunities with high income, good treatment, long-term stay, job transfer within the same industry and can sponsor relatives if I take the exam to Tokutei Gino 2”.
The story of Quynh Nga and Thuc Dat is no longer unique. Nowadays, vocational training in developed countries has been known and chosen by many young people because the "dual" training program brings many practical benefits, opening up a path to study abroad with low cost and efficiency.
Ms. Le Thi Hanh Thu (Hac Thanh ward) has a child studying Japanese to prepare for vocational study abroad, sharing: “At first, I wanted my child to go to university like his peers because society still highly values people with degrees, but after consulting and based on my child's learning ability and wishes, I decided to carefully study with my child the conditions as well as the learning and working environment for vocational study abroad. Currently, my child is diligently studying foreign languages and making clear plans for his next projects. My family is very happy to have accompanied him in finding the right direction for him.”
In the past, students dropping out of school to switch to vocational training was often considered “cutting their teeth” or failure. It was not uncommon for many young people to hide their university degrees after graduating from university to work as factory workers in industrial parks. However, nowadays, many young people realize that chasing after “hot” majors, choosing majors to follow their friends or to please their parents... will easily lead to a situation of studying perfunctorily, lacking passion and having no specific goals. In the context of the current volatile labor market, young people boldly seeking a path that is more suitable to their abilities and conditions is a solid foundation for sustainable development in the future.
