Vietjet Air has just opened ticket sales for flights between Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Con Dao starting from April 19 using Comac C909 aircraft. Every day, this airline operates 2 flights from Hanoi to Con Dao (at 6:45 and 9:15) and vice versa (11:35 and 14:05). The estimated flight time for each flight is about 2 hours and 10 minutes.
Similarly, on the Ho Chi Minh City - Con Dao route, Vietjet also has 2 flights from Tan Son Nhat and 2 flights back every day.

Notably, on the first day of sale (April 15), many flights were sold out of both economy and business class tickets.
According to records on April 16, the round-trip ticket price for the Hanoi - Con Dao route on Vietjet's first commercial flight day was the lowest from 8.8 million VND for economy class (including taxes and fees). This price was also maintained by the airline in the following period. A round-trip ticket for Skyboss class was about 10 million VND. For the Ho Chi Minh City - Con Dao route, the airline's round-trip economy class ticket had the lowest price from 3.4 million VND (including taxes and fees). A Skyboss class ticket was about 6.6 million VND.
Thus, Vietjet's Ho Chi Minh City - Con Dao economy ticket price is equivalent to the price of flights operated by Vietnam Airlines and its subsidiary Vasco using ATR72 aircraft. Previously, the Hanoi - Con Dao direct flight was operated by Bamboo Airways using Embraer E190 regional jet aircraft with a price of no less than 3 million VND one way. This route of Bamboo Airways usually has a common price of 7-8 million VND per round-trip economy ticket.

After this airline stopped operating from April 2024 until now, passengers flying from the North are forced to connect to Con Dao via stops at Tan Son Nhat or Can Tho airports. At the same time, ticket prices for this particular route also tend to increase more sharply.
In addition to selling flight tickets, VietJet also issued a warning to passengers: "Flights to/from Con Dao do not provide checked baggage service. Passengers are requested to bring only carry-on baggage according to regulations."
