Dustin Nguyen and Jun Vu return to the silver screen with 'Double Happiness in Danger'

'Double Happiness' marks the return of Dustin Nguyen and Jun Vu. The film crew revealed many interesting information at the press conference on July 24 in Ho Chi Minh City.

Director Ha Vu's debut film brings a tragicomedy revolving around 5 families in 2 weddings taking place next to each other. The participation of Dustin Nguyen and actors such as Jun Vu, Dinh Y Nhung and Misthy, as shared by the crew, creates humorous and dramatic situations. The audience will witness unexpected conflicts between families in a cramped space.

For this project, director Luu Huynh (who has conquered art-loving audiences with two works , Ao Lua Ha Dong and Huyen Thoai Bat Tu ) will take on the position of director of photography.

Meanwhile, after many years of absence from the Vietnamese big screen, actor Dustin Nguyen has returned with a completely different image, portraying a calm middle-aged man, "the boss of organizing Western parties".

After a series of movies such as Thang nam ruc ro (2018), Gai gia lam chieu 3 (2020), Khoa ke bach bien (2022), B4S - Truoc gio yeu (2024), Jun Vu officially returned to the big screen with Song hy lam nguy .

Taking on the role of the female lead in her first movie, MisThy transformed into Thy, the daughter of Mr. Tri (Dustin Nguyen). Sharing the reason for choosing this famous streamer, Ha Vu said that because he found MisThy very suitable for the female lead character. Thy belongs to the typical Gen Z generation: dynamic, perfectionist, always wanting to assert herself.

Double Happiness will begin filming in November 2025 and will be released by Lotte Entertainment Vietnam, expected in March 2026.
