On November 24, within the framework of the Conference on promoting science and technology, innovation and digital transformation in Quang Ninh province, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa - General Director ofFPT Corporation shared a new vision of cooperation between enterprises and localities, and affirmed that FPT is ready to take on the role of "chief engineer" in the journey to create the province's digital future.
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa - General Director of FPT Corporation, after administrative boundary reform, Quang Ninh is facing the challenge of being a small province with a large growth rate. However, Quang Ninh also has a special opportunity to enter a new growth phase based on science and technology, innovation and digital data. To maintain sustainable growth and continue to lead the country in digital transformation, the province needs a comprehensive, unified and strong enough model to be deployed throughout.
From the role of a leading technology enterprise with more than 10 years of experience in substantial cooperation in Quang Ninh, FPT proposed to take on the role of "chief engineer", accompanying the province in designing the overall digital architecture, building a data ecosystem, deploying infrastructure and developing digital human resources. Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa proposed 5 strategic pillars that FPT wishes to accompany Quang Ninh.
Firstly, FPT wishes to build a comprehensive digital transformation strategy for the period 2026-2030. FPT will accompany the province to create a comprehensive digital government, digital economy and digital society model based on the architecture of "a unified system - a single data source - a seamless service", ensuring seamless connection between the province and the Central Government.
In addition, FPT will develop a shared data ecosystem, supporting the standardization, enrichment and interconnection of all important data such as population, land, business, tourism, healthcare, and education. FPT hopes that by 2030, Quang Ninh will have completed a centralized data warehouse, ready to connect 100% of the national database.
FPT hopes to work with the province to establish modern digital and security infrastructure by expanding telecommunications, 5G, IoT; applying zero-trust security architecture; operating a cybersecurity center and training a team of cybersecurity experts locally.
FPT Corporation also wishes to accompany Quang Ninh in developing digital human resources. FPT implements training programs for officials at all levels, expands talent incubation activities, scholarships and technology competitions, and attracts businesses in the FPT ecosystem and investment partners to Quang Ninh to form a digital business ecosystem.
Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa - General Director of FPT Corporation affirmed: In the coming time, FPT will invest in an IT and innovation center in Tuan Chau. FPT plans to establish a research - training center and connect domestic and foreign investors and technology enterprises, aiming to make Tuan Chau become the nucleus of science, technology and innovation of the province, supporting the goal of developing a green and circular economy by 2030.
Within the framework of the event, the leaders of the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee approved the investment policy of the Tuan Chau Concentrated Digital Technology Park project with FPT Group as the investor. The project aims to build a synchronous infrastructure to attract digital technology, AI, Big Data, IoT, network security and R&D enterprises. The area is about 8.94 hectares in Tuan Chau ward, Ha Long.
FPT invests in building technical infrastructure, management offices and auxiliary works. Total investment capital is over 138 billion VND.
The Tuan Chau Digital Technology Park project will contribute to making Quang Ninh a new technology center in the North, a place where digital enterprises, AI and future technology industries converge. FPT's large-scale infrastructure investment contributes to creating momentum for digital economic growth, opening up a foundation for Quang Ninh to break through and reach regional levels in the era of artificial intelligence.
