* Inauguration of rural bridge and support for charity house in Phuoc Long district
Towards the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), on the morning of April 26, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee coordinated with the Secretariat of the Provincial Vietnam Student Association to organize a journey to the source to express gratitude for the great contributions of previous generations andeducate the revolutionary tradition for the younger generation at the historical site of the first Party cell of Bac Lieu province (Rach Ran hamlet, Long Dien commune, Dong Hai district). The journey was attended by nearly 100 union members - youth and students in the province.
Here, the delegation respectfully offered flowers, incense and observed a minute of silence to commemorate the heroes and martyrs in front of the monument stele.

During the journey to the source of gratitude, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union - Pham Tuan Tai emphasized: “As a generation born when the country was completely independent and unified; inheriting the fruits of the revolution and living in peace, the youth of Bac Lieu today are extremely grateful to the previous generations, vowing to be loyal to the revolutionary path of the Party and Uncle Ho. Each young person should be determined to protect the ideological foundation of the Party, fight against wrong arguments; at the same time carry within themselves the enthusiasm, aspiration to contribute, study and create to build the country in the new era, worthy of the sacrifices of previous generations”.
After a speech reviewing the glorious tradition of the Party Committee and the People of Bac Lieu contributing to the common success of the Great Spring Victory of April 30, 1975, the delegation visited and learned about the house displaying documents, artifacts, and images in the relic site to better understand the place marking the earliest birth of the Communist Party of Vietnam in Bac Lieu province and in the region at that time...
On this occasion, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee and the Provincial Vietnam Student Association Secretariat coordinated with the Provincial Education Promotion Association to present 60 scholarships (VND 1 million/scholarship) and gifts to disadvantaged students in Gia Rai Town and Dong Hai District.
* Also to practically celebrate the 50th anniversary of national reunification and the 139th anniversary of International Labor Day (May 1, 1886 - May 1, 2025), on the afternoon of April 25, the People's Committee of Phong Thanh Tay A commune (Phuoc Long district) held the inauguration ceremony of a rural bridge called Cau 7 Quang.

The bridge was designed and built with a reinforced concrete structure across the 1,000 canal (at Ba Lam intersection in Hamlet 1B) with a total length of 30m, a 2m wide bridge deck, a load capacity of 1 ton, and a clearance of 2.7m. The cost of building the bridge was 183 million VND, 100% sponsored by the family of the late Major General Tran Thanh Quang - Hero of the People's Armed Forces, People's Physician, former Director of Military Hospital 121, Military Region 9. This is a meaningful work of the family of the late Major General Tran Thanh Quang for his hometown where he was born and raised.
The bridge, once completed and put into use, will not only meet the needs of traffic and goods transportation for people, especially students, but also create a driving force to promote local socio-economic development.
On this occasion, a representative of Bao Quang Professional Cleaning Service Company Limited (Can Tho City) also presented a symbolic board to support the construction of a charity house for a poor household in the commune worth 50 million VND.
