At the exam site of Bui Thi Xuan High School (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City), from 6:20 a.m., many students were present, preparing for the important "rehearsal" before the official exam taking place in a month.

Even though it was just a mock exam, parents still encouraged their children before entering the exam room.

The exam atmosphere was as serious as a real exam, from printing and copying exam papers, dividing exam rooms, using new exam papers and scratch paper, to the exam invigilation process and handling situations.

The number of candidates in each room is carefully checked. Before entering the examination room, candidates must present their ID cards for the invigilator to check and compare carefully.

The atmosphere in the exam room was serious, candidates did the test according to the official time and format.

Le Hoang Truc Nga was present at 6:40 a.m. to review her knowledge. The mock exam was an opportunity to get acquainted with the new structure and test her overall personal ability.

Truc Nga shared: "The mock exam helped me realize my weaknesses, such as unreasonable time allocation or confusion between types of questions."

Mr. Huynh Thanh Phu, Principal of Bui Thi Xuan High School, said that this mock exam was carefully prepared, closely following the requirements of the official exam in 2025.
One of the new points is that the number of exam subjects is reduced to 4, including 2 compulsory subjects (Math, Literature) and 2 optional subjects.

Students also get acquainted with the new test paper and answer sheet, applied for the first time by the Ministry of Education and Training .

The structure of the exam has changed significantly, especially in Literature with materials outside of textbooks, to limit rote learning and memorization of sample texts.

On the first morning, some candidates frantically searched for their exam rooms because they did not attend the check-in session on May 26.

According to statistics, among nearly 98,000 students taking the exam, the subject with the highest number of registrations was Foreign Language, followed by Physics, Chemistry, Geography, History, and Biology.
The official high school graduation exam in 2025 will take place on June 26-27, the results account for 50% of the graduation score, combined with the grade 10, 11 and 12 transcripts.
