LaMode Fashion Show 2024 returns with unique, artistic designs created by high school students. The show attracted the attention of fashion enthusiasts and featured performances by singers Nhạc Của Trang, 52Hz, and others.

The show's theme, "Resonance: Resonance," was inspired by the divisions between social classes – the source of darkness and injustice always hidden beneath a glamorous facade. The collection presented two different worldviews , taking attendees on a hypothetical journey to find their own answers about a dream society.

After the show, Bui Nhat Minh - a 12th-grade Geography student and the overall director of the program - expressed his joy and pride in successfully organizing the fashion show. Nhat Minh revealed to a reporter from Dan Tri newspaper that the team consisted of 120-130 members, who had been preparing since December 2023.

"This isn't just my own design; I have to make sure that nearly 30 members of the design team understand the idea and message I want to convey through each collection. They need to understand it thoroughly and deeply, but they still have their own space to be creative," the male student said.

Turn your dreams into reality.

To increase diversity and please the members, Nhat Minh said he had to change himself, implementing ideas and content that were not his forte.

"For a long time, I didn't have a definite idea. Luckily, I finally finalized this idea about 2-3 weeks before the show," the director shared.

Nhat Minh and his colleagues want to take the club beyond the confines of a high school student club and move towards professional fashion. The male student hopes that future generations can continue this message.

To Trang Anh, a 12th-grade geography student and the program's art director, said that even though the program has ended, she still feels nostalgic and remembers the difficulties the team went through. During the photoshoot, the weather was hot and there was no air conditioning, but the models and the team worked diligently.

The show not only attracted the attention of fashion enthusiasts but also the participation of parents. Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy - mother of model Pham Thao Nguyen, a 12th-grade student at Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for Gifted Students - expressed her pride in her daughter after the show ended.

She said this is the second year her daughter has participated in the program. Through the events, she has seen the abilities, dynamism, and maturity of the students in the school. All preparations, from planning and design to model training and behind-the-scenes photography, were carried out well in advance.

Over 60 designs were brought to the stage.

"Resonance: Resonance" features over 60 costumes, presented in four parts, reflecting different perspectives.

In the first part, the design series draws inspiration from modern villas and the luxurious lifestyle of the upper class. From there, it portrays a contrasting picture of a life of spiritual poverty set against a backdrop of immense material wealth and possessions.

The outfits feature predominantly white, gray, and black colors, with materials including organza, cotton, taffeta, and cool-touch jersey.

In the second part, the audience gets to admire costumes made from silk, wool, felt, and parachute fabric, with brown and beige as the main colors.

The design team continues to deliver unique creations with garments using taffeta, suede, khaki, chiffon, and wool. In this collection, the young designers primarily use black, deep red, and brown.

Ultimately, the team aims for connections between individuals, a strong and enduring mutual support system, like the collaborative relationships between people in a visionary society.

The collection is a blend of shades of gray, white, and blue. Organza, cotton, chiffon, taffeta... are used as the main materials.

Model Nguyen Huu Thuc Anh (20 years old, a student at the University of Foreign Languages - Vietnam National University, Hanoi) learned about the club through social media and friends' recommendations. Having joined the club in 2022, Thuc Anh noticed that this year's program is more polished and has more groundbreaking ideas. However, she affirms that each season has its own unique charm.

The LaMode Fashion Club was founded and is run by students from Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for Gifted Students with the desire to ignite a passion for fashion and to fully explore the creative limits of talented young people through the club's events and collections.
