Many advances in diagnosis and treatment, such as intravascular ultrasound, atherosclerotic plaque removal, and transcatheter aortic valve replacement in recent years, have played a significant role in improving the effectiveness of treatment for cardiovascular diseases, especially coronary artery disease.
Aiming to reduce postoperative trauma, minimize blood loss, lower the risk of complications, and significantly shorten hospital stays and recovery times for patients, the healthcare sector requires research and implementation of new techniques in cardiovascular treatment.
This is one of many applied reports presented at the continuing medical education program, within the framework of the International Scientific Conference on the theme "Application of science and technology to improve the quality of diagnosis and treatment in the digital transformation era" organized by Military Hospital 103 on December 12th.
In his opening remarks at the conference, Major General, Associate Professor, Dr. Luong Cong Thuc, Director of Military Hospital 103, emphasized: "The hospital has always been committed to linking scientific research with practical applications, increasing international publications, mastering advanced and specialized techniques, and promoting comprehensive digital transformation in the healthcare sector."

According to experts, the healthcare sector is currently facing many major challenges such as the rapid change in disease patterns, the increase in non-communicable diseases, the complex evolution of infectious disease outbreaks, and the increasingly serious risk of antibiotic resistance.
This reality necessitates new approaches in research, diagnosis, and treatment, as well as enhanced sharing of experiences between healthcare facilities both domestically and internationally.
The conference was organized to create a forum for academic exchange, updating scientific advancements, and sharing research and clinical practice experiences among domestic and international scientists and doctors on the application of technology, artificial intelligence, and biotechnology in improving the effectiveness of diagnosis, treatment, and management of human health.
