Domestic silver price

Today's silver price in the domestic market continued to increase, listed by Phu Quy Gold and Gemstone Group at VND 1,258,000/tael (buy) and VND 1,297,000/tael (sell), unchanged from the previous session.

Also in Hanoi , at other trading locations, silver prices are currently listed at VND1,044,000/tael (buy) and VND1,073,000/tael (sell), unchanged from yesterday's price.

In Ho Chi Minh City, silver prices also increased, currently at VND1,046,000/tael (buy) and VND1,079,000/tael (sell), unchanged from the previous session.

In the world market, according to giabac.net, at 06:12:48 on April 18, the spot silver price stopped at 32,515.9 USD/ounce, down 0.407 USD/ounce compared to 6:02:17 on April 17.

Previously, the silver price listed on Goldprice.org was at 32.34 USD/ounce. Currently, it is at 852,000 VND/ounce (buy) and 857,000 VND/ounce (sell), unchanged from yesterday.

Regarding silver prices, in an interview with Kitco News, Philip Newman - CEO at Metals Focus - said that although the market has experienced five consecutive years of supply shortages, silver supply and demand have not yet reached a state of equilibrium.

“We think the shortage will last for a few more years and this will be positive for silver prices, although there will still be volatility in the short term,” he said.

Mr. Newman also said that the global trend towards electrification will continue to boost demand for silver./.
