Silver price today October 2: Very strong increase

(NLDO) – The price of Phu Quy silver and many other brands increased again when world prices have not stopped rising.

This morning, October 2, Phu Quy silver price was listed by Phu Quy Gold and Gemstone Company at 1,812 million VND/tael for buying, 1,868 million VND/tael for selling, an increase of 24,000 VND/tael compared to yesterday morning.

Meanwhile, Sacombank -SBJ Gold and Gemstone Company increased the silver price by 40,000 VND, to 1.835 million VND/tael for buying and 1.875 million VND/tael for selling. This is also the highest selling price in the silver market today.

Other brands listed lower prices, such as Golden Fund bought at 1.8 million VND/tael, sold at 1.845 million VND/tael; Ancarat silver was bought at 1.817 million VND/tael and sold at 1.867 million VND/tael.

In terms of ratio, the price of silver today increased by 2% compared to yesterday. In the past week, the price of this metal has increased by about 7.5%.

In the international market, silver price this morning was traded at 47.24 USD/ounce, slightly up from 46.9 USD/ounce in the previous session.

During the trading session last night and early this morning, this metal fluctuated strongly, at one point reaching a new peak of 47.7 USD/ounce - the highest level in about 14 years.

The partial US government shutdown on October 1, the first day of the US government's 2026 fiscal year, has left thousands of federal employees - from NASA to national parks - temporarily furloughed and a series of services will be disrupted; federal courts are also closed and grants for small businesses are delayed... making investors worried, pouring money into safe investment channels such as gold and silver.

Currently, the world silver price converted according to the listed exchange rate is about 1.5 million VND/tael.

Be careful if silver price reverses down

According to the reporter of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper , the domestic silver price has increased sharply since the beginning of 2025 until now, following the strong upward trend of world prices. Silver prices have a much higher profit margin than other investment channels, but some experts note the liquidity of this metal. Because up to now, the silver market has only a few businesses producing and trading silver of all kinds.
