While kerosene and diesel prices are down, other petroleum products will increase slightly from this afternoon (August 7).
According to the document of the Ministry of Industry and Trade sent to key traders and distributors of gasoline and oil on the management of domestic gasoline and oil retail prices, from 3 p.m., the ceiling price of E5RON92 gasoline is 19,608 VND/liter, an increase of 207 VND/liter compared to the current price; RON95-III gasoline has a new price of 20,074 VND/liter, an increase of 234 VND/liter compared to the current price and mazut oil increased by 114 VND, to 15,647 VND/kg.
In contrast, diesel oil decreased by 268 VND, down to 18,800 VND/liter and kerosene decreased by 54 VND, down to 18,660 VND/liter.
The operator requested not to set aside or use the Price Stabilization Fund for petroleum products. As for the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex), as of the time before the price adjustment, the balance of the Price Stabilization Fund (BOG) at the enterprise was 3,084 billion VND, unchanged from the most recent announcement.
In the most recent adjustment (July 31), diesel oil decreased by 61 VND, while E5RON92 gasoline price increased by 122 VND/liter; RON95-III gasoline increased by 131 VND/liter, kerosene increased by 86 VND/liter and mazut increased by 154 VND/kg.
According to Decree No. 80/2023/ND-CP amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 95/2021/ND-CP dated November 1, 2021 and Decree No. 83/2014/ND-CP dated September 3, 2014 of the Government on petroleum trading, the time for managing petroleum prices is implemented every Thursday.
In case the price management period coincides with a holiday according to regulations, it will be implemented as follows: If Thursday coincides with the first day of the holiday, the petrol price management period will be implemented on the previous Wednesday. If Thursday coincides with the remaining holidays, the petrol price management period will be implemented on the first working day after the holiday./.
