After many consecutive days of keeping prices stable, the price of live pigs in the Northern region increased by 1,000 - 2,000 VND/kg in many provinces and cities this morning (May 9).
Accordingly, in addition to Yen Bai, Lao Cai, Ninh Binh, Ha Nam and Nam Dinh trading at 67,000 VND/kg, the remaining localities buy and sell live pigs at 68,000 VND/kg.
The Central Highlands region witnessed mixed adjustments in live pig prices this morning. Specifically, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An both increased in price, reaching 68,000 VND/kg. On the other hand, live pigs in Quang Binh and Quang Tri decreased in price, reaching 69,000 VND/kg and 68,000 VND/kg, respectively.
Currently, the price of live pigs in localities in the region still has a large difference, fluctuating between 67,000 - 73,000 VND/kg.
The southern pig market also reversed to increase after many days of downward trend. A survey this morning showed that the price of live pigs increased by 1 in Ca Mau to 74,000 VND/kg. Meanwhile, Long An recorded an increase of 2,000 VND/kg, up to 75,000 VND/kg.
The South is currently the region with the highest pork price in the country, ranging from 73,000 - 75,000 VND/kg.
