Gia Lai supports tuition fees for private school students, up to 300,000 VND/month

From the 2025-2026 school year, Gia Lai province will support tuition fees for students studying at non-public schools with a total budget of nearly 75 billion VND.

On October 27th, the 4th session of the 12th Gia Lai Provincial People's Council passed a resolution to support tuition fees for preschool children and primary and secondary school students in private and non-governmental educational institutions in the province.

Starting from the 2025-2026 school year, Gia Lai province will allocate nearly 75 billion VND to support tuition fees for students in private and non-governmental preschools and primary and secondary schools throughout the province.

This includes 30,351 preschool children and 7,883 primary, lower secondary, and upper secondary school students. The total number of students in private schools in the province receiving tuition support is over 38,000.

According to the proposal of the Provincial People's Committee, the tuition fee support for students at all levels in urban areas is 300,000 VND/person/month.

For rural areas , from preschool to lower secondary school, the support level is 100,000 VND/person/month; for upper secondary school, it is 200,000 VND/person/month.

For ethnic minority and mountainous regions , the support level for education from preschool to lower secondary school is 50,000 VND/person/month; for upper secondary school, it is 100,000 VND/person/month.

According to the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee, the provision of tuition fee support for preschool children and students attending private and non-governmental educational institutions in the province is based on resolutions of the National Assembly and decrees of the Government on tuition fee exemption and support for students and preschool children in the national education system, encouraging the socialization of education.
