Gia Lam: 1,258 excellent workers at the grassroots level

On the morning of April 29, Gia Lam District People's Committee and the District Labor Federation held a ceremony to launch the Workers' Month, responding to the Month of Action on Labor Safety and Hygiene and the emulation movement "Bright - Green - Clean - Beautiful"; honoring excellent workers in 2025.

This is a series of meaningful activities towards the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025); 139 years of International Labor Day (May 1, 1886 - May 1, 2025) and welcoming the Party Congresses at all levels.

Reporting at the conference, Chairman of the Gia Lam District Labor Federation Nguyen Duc The said: Every year, the District Labor Federation has directed its affiliated grassroots unions to coordinate with leaders of agencies, units, and enterprises to launch and effectively organize emulation movements: "Green - clean - beautiful, ensuring occupational safety and hygiene; "Month of action on occupational safety and hygiene", "Clean water week", " World Environment Day", "World Oceans Day"... Thereby helping to raise awareness among union members and workers about ensuring working conditions and environment, preventing occupational accidents and occupational diseases...

The emulation movement of excellent workers, creative workers, striving to achieve the title of "Excellent Workers of the Capital" has also become an annual, exciting activity, attracting a large number of workers, civil servants, and laborers in the district to participate.

In 2025, responding to the emulation movement "Excellent Workers of the Capital", Gia Lam district achieved encouraging results: 1,258 excellent workers were recognized as Excellent Workers at the grassroots level; 39 outstanding excellent workers at the district level; 5 excellent workers were recognized as Excellent Workers at the Hanoi city level; Gia Lam District Labor Federation rewarded 16 collectives and 11 individuals with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement "Green - clean - beautiful, ensuring occupational safety and hygiene".

Launching the "Workers' Month" in 2025 with the theme "Vietnamese workers pioneering into a new era", Chairman of the Gia Lam District Labor Federation Nguyen Duc The emphasized: Workers' Month in 2025 includes the following activities: "Creative Workers" program, encouraging learning, improving skills, and innovation; "May Dialogue" program, creating opportunities for leaders to meet and listen to workers; "Thanking Workers" program with gratitude activities, practical care...

“Month of action on occupational safety and hygiene” with the theme “Strengthening assessment, identification of risks and proactive implementation of measures to ensure occupational safety and hygiene at the workplace”, with key activities: Propagating, training and coaching on occupational safety and hygiene for workers and the network of occupational safety and hygiene workers; organizing periodic health check-ups, occupational disease detection examinations; visiting and encouraging victims and families of occupational accidents and diseases, etc.

Gia Lam District Labor Federation also responded to the emulation movement "Bright - green - clean - beautiful" in 2025 launched by the city to promote the role of workers and civil servants in building a healthy, sustainable and safe living and working environment.

At the conference, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of Gia Lam District Party Committee Dao Xuan Truong praised the achievements of workers and civil servants in Gia Lam; at the same time, he requested the Labor Federation and Trade Unions at all levels in the district to take the lead in implementing Resolution 57-NQ/TU of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation. This is an important factor, deciding the development of the country in the new era - the era of national development.

On this occasion, the Hanoi City Labor Federation and Gia Lam District Labor Federation presented 155 gifts to workers suffering from occupational diseases, work accidents and those in especially difficult circumstances in the area.
