Durian price today September 17: VIP Thai durian sets new peak

Durian prices today, September 17, increased by 2,000 - 3,000 VND/kg, of which Thai durian grade A fluctuated at 80,000 - 89,000 VND/kg, the market became active again.

Durian prices increase in the Southeast region

In Dong Nai , the price of Thai durian type A fluctuates from 80,000 - 85,000 VND/kg, slightly increasing compared to last weekend. Type B is purchased for 65,000 - 67,000 VND/kg, while type C is only at 38,000 VND/kg. The types Ri6 and Musang King still maintain the familiar level, Ri6 type A is about 42,000 - 45,000 VND/kg, while Musang King remains at 60,000 - 65,000 VND/kg.

In Tay Ninh , Thai durian grade A is slightly higher, reaching 85,000 - 87,000 VND/kg. Ri6 in this area is priced at 40,000 - 42,000 VND/kg, reflecting the stability of this product line.

Binh Phuoc recorded the appearance of VIP Thai durian grade A with a price of 105,000 VND/kg, much higher than other regions, showing the increasing demand for high-end fruit.

The Central Highlands region recorded the highest prices.

In Gia Lai, the price of Thai durian grade A has jumped to 86,000 - 87,000 VND/kg, higher than the average. Ri6 grade A is also traded at 45,000 - 51,000 VND/kg.

Dak Lak became the center of attention when Thai VIP durian type A was purchased at 105,000 - 110,000 VND/kg, the highest price currently. Regular Thai durians were also at 85,000 - 89,000 VND/kg, showing that the market was entering a vibrant period. Musang King here fluctuated at 65,000 VND/kg, while the popular Ri6 variety was 42,000 - 50,000 VND/kg.

In Lam Dong, prices are lower but still maintain an upward trend. Thai durian grade A is from 69,000 - 79,000 VND/kg, while Ri6 grade A is about 42,000 - 50,000 VND/kg.

Durian price outlook

The price increase of Thai durian on September 17 shows that domestic and foreign consumption demand remains strong. VIP durians continue to attract customers thanks to their superior quality, while popular varieties such as Ri6 and Musang King remain stable.

Experts predict that durian prices may remain high in the coming time, especially as exports to China and Northeast Asian markets continue to expand.
