Durian prices recovered slightly today after a period of stagnation.
Today, October 28th, durian prices in key growing regions have shown signs of recovery after several days of stagnation. Some large warehouses in Dak Lak , Gia Lai, and the Mekong Delta region have begun adjusting prices upwards by 2,000–5,000 VND/kg as purchasing activities gradually resume. Previously, nearly 2,000 containers of durian were stuck in Dak Lak, causing a temporary disruption to the supply chain and a sharp drop in prices for several days.
Durian prices in the Mekong Delta remain high.
In the Mekong Delta region, the price of Thai VIP durian remains the highest in the country, fluctuating between 110,000 and 120,000 VND/kg. Thai A durians are priced at around 90,000-95,000 VND/kg, while B durians are at 70,000-75,000 VND/kg and C durians at 40,000-55,000 VND/kg. Ri6 durian – a popular domestic variety – is currently being purchased at around 80,000-85,000 VND/kg for A durians, slightly lower than Thai durians.

Thanks to consistent fruit quality and abundant production, the Mekong Delta region remains the leading area in terms of durian prices and output nationwide. However, purchasing power is not yet strong due to many export businesses being hesitant as their inventory has not yet been fully cleared.
Durian prices in the Central Highlands have surged, especially in Dak Lak and Gia Lai.
In the Central Highlands, considered the "capital" of durian exports, prices have rebounded after a long period of stagnation. In Dak Lak, Grade A VIP Thai durian ranges from 100,000 to 120,000 VND/kg, Grade B around 100,000 VND/kg, and Grade C at 75,000 VND/kg. The premium Musang King variety, however, maintains its price of 120,000 to 140,000 VND/kg due to limited supply.
In Gia Lai, the price of VIP Thai durian reached 110,000 – 115,000 VND/kg, while grade A durian was priced at 90,000 – 92,000 VND/kg. Ri6 durian grade A, however, fluctuated around 46,000 – 50,000 VND/kg. The slight increase in these areas indicates that purchasing demand has partially recovered, helping the durian market gradually stabilize.
In Lam Dong , the price of VIP Thai durian reached 120,000 VND/kg, maintaining the highest level in the region. Grades A and B were priced at 75,000-80,000 VND/kg and 60,000-65,000 VND/kg respectively. Ri6 durian was priced at around 46,000-50,000 VND/kg.
Durian prices in Binh Phuoc remain stable.
In Binh Phuoc, Thai VIP durian is priced at 115,000 VND/kg, grade A at 80,000 – 85,000 VND/kg, and Ri6 at 42,000 – 48,000 VND/kg.
Musang King – a premium imported durian variety – continues to maintain the highest price on the market, ranging from 130,000 to 140,000 VND/kg, primarily for export to China and Malaysia.
