Gia Sinh announced the Decision to recognize the commune as a safe zone and meeting advanced new rural standards.

On the morning of December 30, Gia Sinh commune (Gia Vien district) held a ceremony to announce the Prime Minister 's Decision on recognizing the An Toan commune and receiving the title of commune meeting advanced new rural standards in 2022.

Attending were leaders of Gia Vien district; representatives of some departments and branches of the province and a large number of people.

During the resistance war against French colonialism, Gia Sinh was chosen by Inter-zone 3 as the place to build Quang Trung war zone (Hoa - Ninh - Thanh).

Accordingly, the places of Sinh Duoc, Xuan Tri, Chi Phong in Gia Sinh commune used to be the place where the engineering workshop, warehouses, weapons and military provisions were located, and goods were transported to the battlefields. Bai Dinh Pagoda Mountain is one of the typical places where high-ranking officials of the Northern Regional Party Committee and Inter-zone 3 took refuge to operate and develop the revolutionary movement. Therefore, the patriotic movement and revolutionary struggle among the cadres and people of Gia Sinh developed very early. Here, many important events took place that demonstrated the spirit of patriotism and had an influence on the neighboring areas.

During the resistance war against America, implementing the slogan "Not a pound of rice is missing, not a soldier is missing", thousands of Gia Sinh's children enthusiastically joined the army, hundreds of tons of food were contributed by the people to the resistance.

To recognize the great contributions of the Party Committee, government and people of Gia Sinh commune in the struggle for national independence, on September 15, 2023, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 1079/QD-TTg recognizing Gia Sinh as a safe zone commune.

Promoting the heroic revolutionary tradition, in the renovation process, the Party Committee and the people of Gia Sinh commune are always united, dynamic, creative, focusing on socio -economic development, effectively implementing the new rural construction program. Thanks to that, the rural appearance is constantly changing, the material and spiritual life of the people is improved.

From a poor commune, up to now, 100% of the roads in the area have been asphalted and hardened, ensuring light - green - clean - beautiful; 100% of households use the national grid; 100% of hamlets have standard cultural houses and sports areas. All schools from kindergarten, primary school, and secondary school in the commune meet national standards. The economic structure has changed positively, besides agricultural production, service industries, especially tourism, have made a strong breakthrough. In 2022, the average income of the commune reached nearly 65 million VND/person/year; the multidimensional poverty rate decreased to 0.35%...

During the process of building the new rural area, people have invested in building and renovating houses, developing production, contributing to building roads, village cultural houses... with a total cost of over 220 billion VND. In 2022, Gia Sinh completed 19/19 criteria for building advanced new rural communes, and people are satisfied with the new rural construction program in the locality.

At the ceremony, the leaders of Gia Vien district awarded the Decision to recognize the commune as a safe zone and the Certificate of recognition of the commune meeting advanced NTM standards to Gia Sinh commune.

On this occasion, many collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in building advanced new rural areas in the commune received Certificates of Merit from the Provincial People's Committee Chairman and Certificates of Merit from the District People's Committee Chairman.
