As of this afternoon (August 22), the price of gold in the domestic market is listed as follows:
SJC gold in Hanoi and Da Nang: 67.05 million VND/ounce for buying; 67.67 million VND/ounce for selling (A simultaneous increase of 100,000 VND/ounce in both buying and selling prices compared to yesterday).
DOJI Hanoi gold: 66.9 million VND/ounce for buying; 67.7 million VND/ounce for selling (unchanged from yesterday).
DOJI Gold SG: 66.85 million VND/ounce for buying (down 100,000 VND/ounce compared to yesterday's price); 67.65 million VND/ounce for selling (down 50,000 VND/ounce compared to yesterday's price).
PNJ gold in Ho Chi Minh City: 55.9 million VND/ounce for buying; 56.9 million VND/ounce for selling (same price as yesterday).
PNJ gold in Hanoi is trading at 55.9 million VND/ounce (the same price as yesterday).

Thus, domestic gold prices this afternoon (August 22) were adjusted slightly downward by 50,000 VND/ounce for DOJI SG gold and increased by 100,000 VND/ounce for SJC gold.
Gold prices on the world market fluctuated slightly this afternoon, August 22nd. The spot price of gold stood around $1,901.3 per ounce, up $7 per ounce compared to this morning. December gold futures traded at $1,929.8 per ounce, up $6.1 compared to this morning.
Global gold prices are being negatively impacted by the strengthening US dollar. Analysts predict a quiet market awaiting a speech by Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell on Friday, August 25th, when central banks around the world gather in Jackson Hole, Wyoming for their annual conference call.
