Gasoline prices increase again, RON 95 up to over 19,500 VND/liter

On the afternoon of May 15, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance announced changes in retail gasoline prices. The effective time is from 3:00 p.m. the same day.

Under the direction of the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance, petroleum businesses simultaneously adjusted retail prices of petroleum products.

At today's management session, the management agency decided to increase prices for gasoline and oil products.

Specifically, compared to last week's operating session, the price of RON 95 gasoline (the popular type on the market) today was adjusted up by 420 VND/liter, the retail price to 19,590 VND/liter.

Similarly, the price of E5 RON 92 gasoline increased by 410 VND/liter, the selling price increased to 19,180 VND/liter.

Diesel price increased by 420 VND/liter, retail price up to 17,220 VND/liter.

In today's management session, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance still did not use the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund.

In the most recent adjustment period (May 8), the price of RON 95 gasoline was adjusted down by VND410/liter, the retail price down to VND19,170/liter. The price of E5 RON 92 gasoline was reduced by VND380/liter, the selling price was VND18,770/liter.

Meanwhile, diesel price decreased by 550 VND/liter, retail price to 16,800 VND/liter.

In this draft, the principle of adjusting gasoline prices has been adjusted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in line with the market and the State only intervenes according to the Price Law to stabilize the market when a competent authority declares a state of emergency, incident, disaster, natural disaster, epidemic and the market price of gasoline products fluctuates abnormally.

Wholesale traders and distributors will be able to calculate and announce wholesale and retail prices of gasoline and oil within and outside their system, then notify the Ministry of Industry and Trade, provincial people's committees, industry and trade departments and market management departments where traders have distribution systems.

In addition, key petroleum traders and petroleum distributors will have to connect to the state management agency for price declaration data.
