Vietnam Workers' and Civil Servants' Football Tournament 2025: Bank Trade Union wants to win the final round

That is the clear message of the Vietnam Banking Trade Union football team before the final round of the Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament 2025.

"Although this is our first time participating in the tournament, we are confident in our highest goal, which is to win the national championship," said Mr. Nghiem Thanh Tung, secretary of the Vietnam Banking Trade Union team.

That is a big ambition for the team that won the runner-up position in the Northern qualifying round of the Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament 2025. Previously, after winning a ticket to the final round, the Vietnam Banking Trade Union under the leadership of coach Nguyen Quoc Long lost to the Vietnam People's Public Security Trade Union in the penalty shootout in the final match of the Northern qualifying round.

To prepare for the big goal, the Vietnam Banking Trade Union has replaced and added 5 players to the list of participants in the national final round of the Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament 2025. The new faces summoned are: Phung Viet Cuong, Nguyen Huy Hoang, Nguyen Hong Nhat, Han Manh Dung and Le Thanh Trung.

These are all famous players in Hanoi 's amateur football scene. Among them, Manh Dung and Thanh Trung have participated in HPL (national 7-a-side football tournament) for many years.

This addition of personnel makes the already strong Vietnam Bank Trade Union squad even more powerful. With super players like Nguyen Anh Son (Son "Muller"), Nguyen Xuan Sang (Sang "Persie"), Ha Thuan An (An "Buffalo"), Vietnam Bank Trade Union is almost unrivaled in the Northern qualifying round.

Going to work in the morning and practicing in the afternoon is how the players of the Vietnam Bank Union maintain their form. After finishing the Northern qualifying round, Coach Nguyen Quoc Long's team continued to practice 2 times a week in Hanoi. The team also played friendly matches with the very strong amateur teams Dai Tu and Dai Nam to assemble and test tactics.

It can be seen that with a strong army and strong generals, the Vietnam Banking Trade Union is very serious about the goal of winning the final round of the Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament 2025.

"We have carefully studied the opponents from the Southern qualifying round. Through the match videos, the coaching staff and players have grasped the playing style, strengths and weaknesses of the teams.

We have also prepared for playing on a large field - a characteristic of Southern amateur football - and assigned people to specific tasks," said Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung.

On the morning of October 29, 23 members of the Vietnam Banking Trade Union team (including 18 players) will leave for Ho Chi Minh City to settle down and prepare for the final round of the Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament 2025.

In the final round, the Vietnam Bank Trade Union team is in group D with the teams of Da Nang Trade Union, Hanoi Trade Union and An Giang Trade Union.

The final round will take place from October 31 to November 2 at Ton Duc Thang University, Ho Chi Minh City. The winning team of the 2025 Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament will receive VND200,000 million in prize money.

The Vietnam Workers' and Civil Servants' Football Tournament is jointly organized by Tuoi Tre Newspaper , the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, and the Vietnam Football Federation for the third consecutive year. Entering the 2025 season, the tournament has affirmed its position as an annual, prestigious playground for workers, civil servants, and laborers across the country; contributing to promoting the movement of physical exercise and sports , improving the cultural and spiritual life of workers, civil servants, and laborers in particular and the whole society in general.

This year's tournament is honored to receive the support of Truong Hai Group Joint Stock Company (THACO), Dong Luc Sports Group, HTP Pharmaceutical Investment Joint Stock Company, Hoa Sen Group Joint Stock Company, Sunshine Group, Saigon Water Corporation (SAWACO), Fashion Connection Joint Stock Company (Faslink), 108 Central Military Hospital, 175 Military Hospital and a number of enterprises.

The final round of the Vietnam Workers' and Civil Servants' Football Tournament 2025 will take place from October 31 to November 2 in Ho Chi Minh City with the participation of 16 teams that have successfully passed the qualifying round.
