The event took place in a joyful atmosphere celebrating the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd, and also marked the first ever Vietnamese Music Day (September 3rd, 2025).
Music - a hallmark of half a century after reunification.
Speaking at the event, Major General and musician Nguyen Duc Trinh, Chairman of the Vietnam Musicians Association, emotionally emphasized: "In the glorious 80-year journey of our nation, the spring of 1975 is a special historical milestone, when the country was reunified. Since then, tens of thousands of songs have been created, reflecting national pride, the building and protection of the Fatherland, and the aspiration to rise in the new era."

He also recalled the moment when the song "As if Uncle Ho were present on the day of great victory " (composed by Pham Tuyen) resounded on April 30, 1975, ushering in a new era for Vietnamese music.
Over the past 50 years, generations of musicians have, with genuine emotion, composed works praising their homeland, paying tribute to heroes and martyrs, celebrating love, and the aspiration for renewal.
Based on the voting results from branches nationwide, the Vietnam Musicians Association has selected 50 songs and 5 representative instrumental and operatic works to honor. This is an opportunity to affirm the immense value of revolutionary music in the spiritual life of the nation.
The concert brought together melodies of pride.
The "Melodies of the Homeland" program, directed and overseen by musician Nguyen Duc Trinh, brings together many famous artists such as: People's Artist Quoc Hung, People's Artist Duc Long, Ngo Huong Diep, Minh Toi, Tung Lam, Trinh Phuong, Duong Duc, Hoang Anh, Nhat Huyen, Thu Thuy, Thu Ba…
