Accordingly, Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu was appointed as Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City.
Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu, (born June 18, 1966), hometown Tan An Hoi commune, Ho Chi Minh City. Mr. Hieu graduated from the University of Education, majoring in mathematics, has a bachelor's degree in politics , a senior degree in political theory, and a doctorate in educational management.

After the merger, the new Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training (including 3 regions: Ho Chi Minh City, Ba Ria - Vung Tau and Binh Duong) is a specialized agency under the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and receives the original status of the affiliated public service units and units under the state management authority ofeducation of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Department of Education and Training and the Binh Duong Department of Education and Training.
Head office address is 66-68 Le Thanh Ton Street, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1, HCMC. The educational scale of HCMC (new) will have about 2.6 million students.
