Assign Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee as the competent authority to implement the Hieu Liem 2 Bridge Construction Investment Project connecting with Dong Nai

DN - The Government Office has issued Official Dispatch No. 7067/VPCP dated July 29, 2025 to the Minister of Finance and Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee to notify the opinion of Central Party Committee member, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha on assigning the competent authority to implement the Hieu Liem 2 Bridge Construction Investment Project.

Accordingly, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha agreed with the proposal of the Ministry of Finance on assigning the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City as the competent authority to implement the Hieu Liem 2 Bridge Construction Investment Project; at the same time, assigning the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and the People's Committee of Dong Nai province to carry out the project investment steps in accordance with regulations, ensuring quality and progress.

The Hieu Liem 2 Bridge Construction Investment Project has a total route length of nearly 1.5km, including: Hieu Liem 2 Bridge across Be River, 150m long, Ho Chi Minh City approach road is more than 1.2km long, Dong Nai approach road is about 100m long. The project is divided into 2 investment phases, each phase builds 1 bridge unit 2m apart with a scale of 2 mixed lanes. In phase 1, the project is proposed to build 1 bridge unit with a cross-section of 14m. The project has a total estimated investment of nearly 362 billion VND.
