The contest was organized by the Ministry of Education and Training in collaboration with the Green Future Fund - Vingroup Corporation. The entries came from 34 provinces and cities; of which Ho Chi Minh City accounted for the highest percentage with 20.38%, followed by Hanoi with 16.52% and Binh Duong (now Ho Chi Minh City) with 6.15%.
The growth rate of nearly 250% compared to the previous season once again affirms the attraction of the contest - not only a playground for artistic creation and technology application, but also a journey to sow green awareness and sustainable actions in the community of primary and secondary school students nationwide.
Among the entries, the Painting category continued to dominate with nearly 28,000 entries, equivalent to 70% of the total entries, demonstrating the appeal of this visual and creative form of expression to students. The Letter Writing category ranked second with 11,545 entries.

Although the category requires more time and skills, the Video category still attracted nearly 900 entries, contributing to the richness and diversity of forms of expression and ways of conveying messages in this year's season.
Dr. Le Thai Ha - Executive Director of the Green Future Fund, Vingroup Corporation - representative of the contest's organizing committee, shared: "The impressive numbers in season 2 not only demonstrate the spread of the contest, but also reflect the spirit of a generation of Vietnamese students who know how to dream, act and dare to create a green future.
Every picture, every letter or video we receive is a seed of hope - where children express their love for the earth and their desire to change the world for the better. With 'To a Green Future 2050', we hope to accompany the education sector on the journey of nurturing a generation of green citizens - people who are knowledgeable, have a heart and are responsible for the planet they live on."
After the provincial and municipal rounds, the contest will enter the national preliminary round from November 10 to December 30. From more than 40,000 submitted works, the jury will select the 450 best entries to advance to the final round.
In the final round, scheduled to take place from January 3 to February 28, 2026, candidates will directly express their creative thinking, sense of responsibility towards the environment and ability to innovate for sustainable development through online interviews.
