Ha Giang: Many unique cultural activities are about to take place in 2023

According to the plan of the People's Committee of Ha Giang province, from October 25 to October 28, 2023, a series of major events will take place such as: Provincial Cultural Conference, Program to receive the title of Member of the UNESCO Global Geopark Network of Dong Van Karst Plateau for the third time, the 9th "Buckwheat Flower" Festival and especially the 1st Ha Giang Media Festival in 2023.

Buckwheat flower fields have a special attraction for tourists and have become a brand of Ha Giang province.

In recent years, Ha Giang has had many unique cultural activities and festivals to introduce domestic and international tourists to the land at the head of the Fatherland such as: Buckwheat Flower Festival, Fire Dance Festival, Moon Bridge Festival, Gau Tao Festival, Cap Sac Festival... Thereby, to introduce and promote the potential, strengths, destinations, and typical products of Ha Giang; spread the natural beauty, traditional values, and unique cultural identities of the ethnic groups in the province; create a good impression on the people and tourists when coming to Ha Giang. At the same time, promote and enhance the effectiveness of communication and promotion of the province's image to the whole country and abroad, contributing to the implementation of the province's socio -economic development goals, and constantly improving the lives of ethnic minorities.

2023 is the year that Ha Giang will have a series of unique cultural and festival events such as: The 2023 Cultural Conference will take place on October 28, 2023 with an expected attendance of 250 delegates, including central and local delegates, central experts and scientists and folk artisans of the province. With extremely important significance, to evaluate the outstanding results of the process of building and developing Ha Giang culture and people; continue to implement the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress on the cultural field; the results of 2 years of implementing the Conclusion of the General Secretary at the 2021 National Cultural Conference on implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party; the results of organizing activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the birth of the "Outline of Vietnamese Culture".

There will be many unique cultural activities at the Mong Ethnic Cultural Festival 2023.

Along with that, pointing out the shortcomings, limitations, causes, drawing lessons in the construction and development of Ha Giang culture and people in the past time; at the same time, identifying opportunities, challenges and issues arising, thereby proposing key tasks and solutions in the coming time. Up to now, the Conference has received a total of 50 presentations, including 12 presentations from Central experts and scientists; 38 presentations from Party committees under a number of departments and branches of the province, representing a number of ethnic minorities of the province. It is expected that there will be presentations directly at the Conference and 02 reports screened at the Conference with the theme "Ha Giang, colors on the rocks"; "Ha Giang takes culture as a driving force for socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security.

The opening ceremony of the Program to receive the title of Member of the UNESCO Global Geopark Network of Dong Van Karst Plateau for the 3rd time and the 9th "Buckwheat Flower" Festival in Ha Giang province in 2023 with the theme: "Blooming Karst Plateau" will take place at 20:00 on October 28, 2023 at Thanh Nien Square, Dong Van district, Ha Giang province.

Regarding the Ha Giang Media Festival 2023, this is the first Festival organized to create a forum to meet and share good and creative practices in communication work; regular connection and coordination between state media and community media; consulting on building mechanisms, policies, and new practices to promote and enhance the effectiveness of communication and promotion of Ha Giang, contributing to the implementation of the province's socio-economic development goals, improving the lives of ethnic minorities in the area; at the same time, raising awareness of all levels, sectors and the whole society about the role, effectiveness, and practical benefits of digital transformation, communication work in general and digital communication work in particular.

This is also an opportunity to connect and coordinate between state media and community media; recognize, praise, honor and reward a number of outstanding information channels and individuals who have actively spread the image of Ha Giang in the digital environment in recent times. The Ha Giang Media Festival 2023 is also organized to contribute to promoting information, propaganda and promotion of the series of important events of the province taking place on this occasion. Attending the Talk Show are about 160 delegates and guests including: Representatives of the Ministry of Information and Communications and some affiliated units, Vietnam Digital Communications Association (VDCA); leaders of the Department of Information and Communications of some provinces. Delegates from Ha Giang province include provincial leaders; leaders of departments, branches, relevant units, associations, unions, organizations, telecommunications enterprises; central and local press and media agencies; representatives of information channels and press reporters, some artists, and individuals working in the media in and outside the province.

Regarding other activities in the series of events on this occasion, they include: Organizing a conference to connect trade between suppliers in the Northeast region and export enterprises; organizing trade promotion and the Ha Giang Shan Tuyet Tea Workshop from 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on October 27, 2023; organizing exhibitions and introducing typical products including: Opening ceremony of the exhibition space for OCOP products and typical products of the Northeast region and awarding the prizes of the Ha Giang Shan Tuyet Tea Product Contest from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on October 27 at the Monument yard, 26/3 Square; organizing an exhibition space for OCOP products and typical products of provinces and cities in the Northeast region, from October 26 to October 29, 2023 at the Green Park yard, 26/3 Square.
