Kinhtedothi - On the morning of November 8th, the People's Committee of Ha Nam province organized a fire fighting and rescue drill at Neweb Co., Ltd., Dong Van III Industrial Park, Duy Tien town, Ha Nam province.
Speaking at the drill, Mr. Nguyen Duc Vuong, Provincial Party Committee member and Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Nam province, emphasized that fire prevention and rescue work has always been identified by Ha Nam province as one of its key tasks and is regularly prioritized. This large-scale drill, involving numerous personnel, vehicles, and equipment, aims to raise awareness and responsibility regarding fire prevention and rescue, and to ensure readiness to respond to fire, explosion, and accident situations at large facilities. Furthermore, the drill helps improve command and coordination capabilities between the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force and other forces, contributing to local security and order.
The forces participating in the firefighting and rescue drill promptly practiced the drill plan immediately after receiving instructions from the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
The hypothetical scenario is as follows: At 9:00 AM on November 8th, an explosion occurred in the warehouse area on the first floor of factory F4, causing a fire that spread to the goods inside the warehouse. This resulted in 70 people being injured and unable to move, becoming trapped in various areas of the factory, mainly on the second and third floors of factory F4. Due to the rapid spread of the fire and the intense heat, the structural integrity of the steel frames and shelves was deformed, causing the collapse of the shelving units in factory F4 and the first-floor warehouse.
Upon discovering the fire, the company's on-site fire fighting and rescue team deployed firefighting and rescue operations according to the on-site emergency response procedure. They called to report the fire and requested rescue assistance, and organized guidance for employees, workers, and residents to evacuate.
Upon receiving the report, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of the Provincial Police reported to the Provincial Police leadership to quickly deploy forces and equipment to the scene, deploy firefighting teams, and coordinate rescue efforts to quickly and effectively control and extinguish the fire.
The firefighting and rescue operation involved 550 people and 40 vehicles of various types from the Neweb Company's internal firefighting force, the specialized firefighting team of the Dong Van Industrial Park, the Duy Tien Town Police, police departments under the Provincial Police; the Provincial Military Command; health; electricity; and fire and rescue police from Nam Dinh , Hung Yen, and other provinces.
According to the organizers' assessment, the units and forces participating in the exercise demonstrated a high sense of responsibility and successfully completed their assigned tasks, meeting the requirements in terms of time and technical and tactical skills.
At the end of the exercise, 50 groups and individuals with outstanding achievements in the exercise were commended by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and the Director of the Provincial Police Department.
