Hanoi launches skilled worker contest, promotes high-quality human resources

The Hanoi City People's Committee has just issued Plan No. 230/KH-UBND on organizing the Hanoi City Skilled Worker Competition in 2025.

The contest is held to honor skilled workers, promote the emulation movement "Review theory, practice skills, compete for skilled workers" to contribute to improving the quality of human resources, productivity and competitiveness of the capital.

In particular, it creates an environment for workers to exchange, learn, practice, and celebrate major events, such as: Celebrating the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025); Party congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term; Vietnam Labor Skills Day (October 4)...

The contest is expected to take place on October 25 and 26, 2025 at Hanoi College of High Technology (Xuan Phuong Ward) with the participation of leaders of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Ministry of Home Affairs , the Central Emulation and Reward Committee; city leaders and departments, branches of the city, businesses, vocational schools...

Contestants are Vietnamese workers working at enterprises of all economic sectors in Hanoi.

The exam content includes 11 occupations: Universal lathe; universal milling; CNC lathe; electric welding; drawing and design on computer; automotive technology...

Exam format: Theory 30 minutes; practice maximum 90 minutes depending on the profession.

It is expected that each profession will have 1 First Prize (worth 10 million VND), 2 Second Prizes (7 million VND), 3 Third Prizes (5 million VND) and Encouragement Prizes (3 million VND). In addition to the prize money, the winners and participants of the city-level competition will be awarded certificates. In particular, up to 10 groups and 11 individuals with outstanding achievements will be considered by the City People's Committee for certificates of merit.

The City People's Committee assigned the City Labor Federation as the standing agency to preside over the organization of the contest.

Departments, branches and sectors including: Department of Home Affairs, Department of Finance, Department of Education and Training, Hanoi College of High Technology coordinate to organize, ensure expertise, facilities and propaganda to successfully organize the Hanoi City Skilled Worker Competition in 2025.
