Hanoi has increased the rewards for students who win prizes in competitions. The highest reward is up to 300 million VND, a 15-fold increase for students who win gold medals at international Olympics.

On December 10, the Hanoi People's Council passed a Resolution regulating the bonus level for the city's students with high achievements in domestic and international competitions and exams, and teachers with achievements in training and nurturing award-winning students.

Accordingly, students who win prizes in international Olympic competitions in subjects sent by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) will be awarded 300 million VND for a gold medal, 200 million VND for a silver medal, 150 million VND for a bronze medal, and 100 million VND for an encouragement prize.

Thus, compared to the present, Hanoi's new bonus level is 15 times higher for students winning gold medals at international Olympics. However, compared to some other localities such as Hai Phong, Vinh Phuc ..., Hanoi's bonus level is lower.
