Two medics crossed 5km of landslide to deliver a baby at home.

On October 29, Dr. Tran Van Thu, Director of the Nam Tra My Regional Medical Center (Da Nang City), said that two doctors from the Tra Tap Commune Medical Station had just managed to overcome floods and landslides to successfully deliver a baby at home.

On the same morning, doctors Ho Thi Hieu and Bui Xuan Bang (Tra Cang Health Station, Tra Tap Commune) received news that pregnant woman Ho Thi Nhi (21 years old, Mo Lang hamlet, village 5, Tra Tap Commune) was in labor, but could not get to the medical facility due to severe landslides and prolonged heavy rain.

Immediately, two medics brought medical equipment and medicine, braved flood and landslides, and traveled more than 5km to reach the pregnant woman's house.

Thanks to timely treatment, Nhi gave birth safely at home, the baby girl weighed 3.2 kg, the health of both mother and child is currently stable, and is being cared for on the spot.
