Bac Lieu Provincial People's Council elected 2 additional Vice Chairmen of the People's Committee

At the meeting, Chairman of Bac Lieu Provincial People's Committee Pham Van Thieu introduced personnel for the Provincial People's Council to elect 2 additional Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee (term 2021-2026). The People's Council delegates voted by secret ballot, with the majority of votes agreeing to add 2 Vice Chairmen of Bac Lieu Provincial People's Committee, including: Mr. Huynh Huu Tri, Secretary of Bac Lieu City Party Committee and Mr. Ngo Vu Thang, Secretary of District Party Committee, Chairman of Hong Dan District People's Council.

Also at this session, the delegates of the Provincial People's Council unanimously dismissed Mr. Phan Thanh Duy (48 years old) from the position of Vice Chairman of the Bac Lieu Provincial People's Committee because he was assigned to another task by the Standing Committee of the Bac Lieu Provincial Party Committee. Mr. Le Tan Can (56 years old), former Vice Chairman of the Bac Lieu Provincial People's Committee, was also dismissed from his duties as a delegate of the Provincial People's Council. Previously, Mr. Can was assigned and appointed by the Prime Minister as Deputy Minister of Finance.

Mr. Huynh Huu Tri (49 years old, from Giong Trom district, Ben Tre province); Master of Law. Before being elected as Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Tri held the following positions: Deputy Director of Bac Lieu Provincial Police, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee, Secretary of Bac Lieu City Party Committee.

Mr. Ngo Vu Thang (44 years old, from Vinh Loi district, Bac Lieu province); professional qualifications: University of Journalism, Master's degree in economic management. Before being elected as Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Thang held the following positions: Secretary of Bac Lieu City Youth Union, Deputy Secretary and then Secretary of Bac Lieu Provincial Youth Union, Deputy of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Secretary of Hong Dan District Party Committee.
