Revealing the opening night performance of the 2025 Da Nang International Fireworks Festival

On May 28, the Organizing Committee of the 2025 International Fireworks Festival (DIFF 2025) said that in order to bring people and tourists an impressive, unique and colorful start to the opening night of the festival on May 31.

In addition to the fireworks displays by the two host teams Vietnam and defending champion Finland, people and tourists will also be immersed in a top-notch art party with the participation of famous names, promising a brilliant opening for DIFF 2025.

Accordingly, the art party of DIFF 2025 will have the participation of famous names such as singer Tung Duong, singer Kieu Anh and a group of young and powerful singers such as Nguyen Tran Trung Quan, Thu Hang, ...

The artists will perform well-arranged art performances imbued with the unique cultural colors of Vietnam and Finland.

The script of the performances will connect Da Nang’s glorious past with its proud present, highlighting the unique cultural features of the city of bridges. At the same time, the audience will also enjoy unique performances from international artists, through performances expressing the cultural identity, country and people of Finland.

All will be blended to the highest level on stage with modern sound and lighting technology and the largest investment scale ever of DIFF 2025.

Accordingly, the Main Stage this year is 60% larger than last year, with a capacity of 10,200 seats. The modern mechanical system, with 5 large-sized lifting domes, of which the central dome is 21m wide, nearly double that of 2024. The two 18.5m wide wing domes and two additional domes on the riverbank further increase the flexibility and shaping ability of the stage.

The main stage's symbol is inspired by the natural beauty of Da Nang. It recreates the majestic image of the Ngu Hanh Son relic complex by the ocean, with the highlight being the shining pearl in the center, symbolizing the strong aspiration to rise up and constantly innovate of the city on the Han River. The image of mountains and waves also represents the spirit of harmony and solidarity, in line with the theme message of DIFF 2025 "Da Nang - New Era".

In particular, the unique highlight and biggest difference is the strong shift in digital transformation, which is the application of AR virtual reality technology.

AR technology is invested to bring a more comprehensive and convenient experience to visitors. Audiences can download the Sun Paradise Land (SPL) application, which will become a powerful "digital assistant", allowing users to personalize their Da Nang exploration schedule, quickly book fireworks tickets and experience AR technology on paper tickets and Sky AR on the Han River sky.

With a performance area of up to 600,000m² and about 10 million pixels, Sky AR will turn the sky into a giant "stage", to admire the cultural symbols and typical architecture of Da Nang through interesting graphic effects.

According to the Organizing Committee, the opening night of DIFF 2025 will take place on the evening of May 31, with the first two competing teams being the Da Nang International Fireworks Team (Vietnam 1) with a performance themed “Cultural Essence”. The second competing team is the reigning DIFF 2024 champion Finland, who will have a performance themed “Nordic Light”.

With large-scale investment in stages, sound, lighting, performing artists and AR technology, the opening night of DIFF 2025 promises to bring residents and visitors a classy and inspiring artistic and entertainment experience.
