To improve To effectively increase production and processing, ensure a good life for soldiers, the Party Committee and Command of Regiment 66 have led and synchronously, resolutely and effectively implemented the Project "Improving the efficiency of production and processing in the Army to ensure suitability, safety and sustainability for the period 2021-2025 and until 2030" (Project QN-21).

Major General Le Van Cuong, Deputy Commander of the 34th Corps, inspected the production increase model of Regiment 66.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Dinh Le, Deputy Commander of Regiment 66, the most difficult problem of Regiment 66 when implementing Project QN-21 is to overcome the harsh weather and the fear of hardship and suffering of a part of officers and soldiers. Therefore, the Party Committee and the Regiment Commander determined that Project QN-21 must be concretized with resolutions and specific plans, and education to raise awareness and responsibility of Party committees, commanders, officers, employees and soldiers in improving the efficiency of production and processing.

Develop a plan for increasing production, production, and processing suitable to climate and soil conditions, with measures to overcome water shortages in the dry season and flooding in the rainy season. The plan has specifically determined the targets for each type of livestock and vegetable variety for each batch and layer, ensuring the regulation of products, minimizing local surpluses and shortages; and having a specific schedule for planting and delivering products.

Up to now, the production and processing area of Regiment 66 has been systematically planned with an area of 280,000m2 . In particular, the Regiment has a closed-loop system of greenhouses for growing vegetables, limiting the direct impact of weather and climate. The greenhouses are equipped with automatic misting irrigation systems, ensuring standard humidity, thereby helping vegetables grow very evenly. Poultry barns are arranged separately for each type such as: Breeding poultry area, meat poultry, egg-laying poultry. Pig farming area, cow farming area and fish ponds are also arranged separately with strict monitoring, management, care and waste treatment processes.

Major Phan Huu Hau, Head of Logistics - Engineering of Regiment 66, excitedly shared that after more than a year of implementing Project QN-21, the Regiment's production and processing activities have exceeded the target by 20-25% compared to before.

The regiment regularly maintains a flock of more than 5,000 broiler chickens, more than 2,000 egg-laying ducks, collecting more than 1,000 eggs per day; 400 meat pigs and 40 sows; 90 beef cattle. The unit is 100% self-sufficient in vegetables, meat, and eggs. Along with that, the processing station has actively exploited local food sources, providing livestock and poultry meat, making tofu, ham, and clean bean sprouts to supply to the units, limiting the exploitation of food from the market.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Huu Su, Head of Logistics - Engineering Division 10, said that Regiment 66 was the unit selected by Division 10 as a pilot unit for the model of increasing production, processing according to Project QN-21. Right from the first day of implementation, the Division's Logistics - Engineering Department guided the unit to develop a plan for using capital sources; select reputable companies and contractors for construction; establish a production, processing and increasing team; develop and strictly implement operating regulations, have policies to both encourage workers and ensure loan repayment and reproduction.

“Increasing production and processing under Project QN-21 has a new scale and implementation method compared to traditional methods. Thereby, it brings high efficiency, well meeting the requirements of building a revolutionary, disciplined, elite and modern army,” emphasized Senior Colonel Nguyen Huu Su.
