In the recent flood season, many areas in Quang Tri province were deeply flooded and severely affected. In order to help people stabilize their lives soon, military units and forces in the province have arranged officers and soldiers to support and work side by side with the people, local authorities, units, schools, etc. to urgently carry out cleaning work and overcome the consequences of the flood as soon as the water receded.

From November 4 to 6, in Quang Tri province, the rain has decreased, the weather has cleared up and there is some sunshine. In the flood-prone area of Le Thuy commune, to promptly support schools in overcoming the consequences of the flood, on November 6, the Quang Tri Provincial Border Guard Command mobilized 30 officers and soldiers to coordinate with local authorities, schools and parents to clean up mud and soil, and clean the school grounds and classrooms at Kien Giang Secondary School.

After the flood receded, the entire school campus was covered in mud, trash, and fallen tree branches... With a spirit of urgent, dedicated, and responsible work, officers and soldiers of the Quang Tri Border Guard and parents promptly supported teachers in cleaning up the school campus. The provincial Border Guard repaired tables, chairs, fences, and electrical and water systems damaged by floodwaters; disinfected, rearranged tables and chairs, and fully prepared conditions to welcome students back to school to continue studying according to the program schedule.

Also on November 6, the Defense Command of Area 4 - Trieu Phong (Quang Tri Provincial Military Command), the Cultural Information - Sports Center of Quang Tri Ward and the ward militia force launched an environmental sanitation campaign to overcome the consequences of floods at the Flower Dropping Wharf on the southern bank of Thach Han River, Quang Tri Ward.

Previously, due to the impact of heavy rain combined with the water flow, the water level of Thach Han River rose, causing deep flooding at the Flower Drop Wharf and the River Pedestrian Bridge. After the water receded, a large amount of mud and sand appeared here, along with many tree branches and floating rubbish, which damaged the beauty as well as posed a potential safety risk at the relic site.

To promptly overcome the consequences after the flood, restore the clean and solemn appearance of the relic space, about 30 officers and soldiers of the Defense Command of Area 4 - Trieu Phong together with officers and employees of the Cultural Information - Sports Center of Quang Tri ward and the ward militia actively joined hands to carry out environmental sanitation work, collect garbage and clean the landscape at this relic site.

The practical actions of officers and soldiers of the Quang Tri provincial military force before, during and after the floods not only helped the locality and people quickly stabilize their lives but also enhanced the beautiful image of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" in the hearts of the people, not afraid of difficulties and hardships, always accompanying, sticking together and fighting side by side with the people, serving the people.
