Mr. Tran Le - the owner of the cherry blossom island said that since 2006, he has brought rare cherry blossom varieties from Japan to plant in this land. After nearly two decades of meticulous care, there are now thousands of cherry trees, creating a beautiful landscape.

Cherry Blossom Island covers an area of ​​about 7 hectares, currently has about 120,000 cherry blossom trees (blossoming trees and seedlings). The main variety is Edohigan Zakura (peaceful happiness).

“Currently, there are 20 varieties of cherry blossoms on the island. I had to go to Japan (4 times), America (4 times) and Europe (3 times) to collect flower varieties suitable for the soil and climate conditions in Vietnam,” said Mr. Le.

At this time, coming to Pa Khoang flower island, visitors will be immersed in a romantic space, filled with the pink color of cherry blossoms.

The first time she set foot on the cherry blossom island, Ms. Duong Ngoc Anh - a tourist from Hanoi was amazed by the brilliant beauty of dozens of cherry blossom species. "Beautiful flowers, open space, and the fresh air of the Northwest mountains and forests. Although the weather is a bit chilly, it brings a refreshing feeling, completely different from the air in Hanoi" - Ms. Anh said.

For 2 days, from January 11 to 12, Dien Bien Phu City organized the Cherry Blossom Festival - Dien Bien Phu, with the theme "Spring in Muong Village - Cherry Blossoms in Bloom" on the flower island, attracting thousands of tourists to visit and admire.

According to Mr. Nguyen Quang Hung - Chairman of Dien Bien Phu City People's Committee, the organization of the festival is expected to bring new, exciting and impressive experiences to the people and tourists, making Pa Khoang an unmissable destination every spring.

Previously in 2018, for the first time, Dien Bien province organized the Cherry Blossom Festival to promote tourism and introduce Japanese culture.
