Deploying site clearance for the North-South High-Speed ​​Railway Project

(DN) - According to information from the Provincial People's Committee, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has assigned the Land Fund Development Center of Dong Nai province to contact the Land Registration Office of Dong Nai province, based on the preliminary design drawings of the High-speed Railway Project on the North-South axis through the province to determine the scale and boundaries of the project implementation on the map as a basis for establishing and approving the investment project on compensation, support, resettlement and establishing a map of land recovery, compensation, and site clearance after the project is approved according to regulations.

Previously, based on the direction of the Prime Minister, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Dong Nai Provincial Land Fund Development Center to be the investor of the component project on compensation, support and resettlement of the High-speed Railway Project on the North-South axis through the province to establish, appraise and decide on project investment as a basis for implementation according to regulations.

Along with that, the Provincial People's Committee also assigned the Department of Construction to advise on a draft document for the Provincial People's Committee to send to the Ministry of Construction requesting to adjust the centerline of the high-speed railway on the North-South axis, the section passing through Xuan Duong and Xuan Que communes to be suitable before approving the official design and approving the investment project.

For wards and communes where the project passes through, the Provincial People's Committee requires localities to base on the preliminary route of the project to determine the scale, scope, area of ​​the project passing through, the number of households and assets affected by the project. Determine the number of households that must be relocated, arranged for resettlement, the number of available resettlement lots that can be arranged for the project in the area, the number of resettlement lots that are missing, propose the construction of resettlement areas for the project in the commune, ward or arranged in other resettlement areas in neighboring communes that have been invested, send to the Dong Nai Provincial Land Fund Development Center before October 30, 2025 for synthesis and reporting to the Provincial People's Committee for timely handling. At the same time, closely coordinate with the Provincial Land Fund Development Center in preparing and submitting for approval independent component projects on compensation, support and resettlement for the section passing through Dong Nai province for appraisal and approval as a basis for project implementation to ensure regulations.

In November 2024, at the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly , the National Assembly voted to approve Resolution No. 172/2024/QH15 on the investment policy of the North-South High-Speed ​​Railway Project. The project is over 1,500 km long, of which the section passing through Dong Nai province is nearly 82 km long, with 1 passenger terminal in the Long Thanh International Airport area, 1 cargo terminal in Trang Bom commune and 2 technical maintenance stations in Xuan Hoa and Xuan Duong communes. Currently, Dong Nai province is proposing to add 1 passenger station in Xuan Hoa commune.
