Deploying site clearance for the North-South High-Speed ​​Railway Project

(DN) - According to information from the Provincial People's Committee, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has assigned the Land Fund Development Center of Dong Nai province to contact the Land Registration Office of Dong Nai province, based on the preliminary design drawings of the High-speed Railway Project on the North-South axis through the province to determine the scale and boundaries of the project implementation on the map as a basis for establishing and approving the investment project on compensation, support, resettlement and establishing a map of land recovery, compensation, and site clearance after the project is approved according to regulations.

Previously, based on the Prime Minister's directive, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Dong Nai Provincial Land Development Center as the investor for the component project on compensation, support, and resettlement of the North-South High-Speed ​​Railway Project section passing through the province, to prepare, appraise, and decide on the investment for the project as a basis for implementation according to regulations.

In addition, the Provincial People's Committee also assigned the Department of Construction to draft a document for the Provincial People's Committee to send to the Ministry of Construction requesting adjustments to the alignment of the high-speed railway on the North-South axis, the section passing through Xuan Duong and Xuan Que communes, to ensure suitability before approving the official design and investment project.

For wards and communes where the project passes through, the Provincial People's Committee requires localities to base their assessment on the preliminary route of the project to determine the scale, scope, and area of ​​the project's impact, the number of households, and assets affected by the project. They must determine the number of households to be relocated, the number of available resettlement plots that can be allocated to the project within their area, the number of remaining resettlement plots, and propose the construction of a resettlement area for the project within the commune/ward or in another resettlement area in a neighboring commune that has already been invested in. This information must be submitted to the Dong Nai Provincial Land Fund Development Center before October 30, 2025, for compilation and reporting to the Provincial People's Committee for timely action. Simultaneously, they must closely coordinate with the Provincial Land Fund Development Center in preparing and submitting the independent component project on compensation, support, and resettlement for the section passing through Dong Nai province for appraisal and approval, as a basis for project implementation in accordance with regulations.

In November 2024, at the 8th session of the 15th National Assembly , the National Assembly voted to approve Resolution No. 172/2024/QH15 on the investment policy for the North-South High-Speed ​​Railway Project. The project spans over 1,500 km, with nearly 82 km passing through Dong Nai province. It includes one passenger station within the Long Thanh International Airport area, one cargo station in Trang Bom commune, and two technical maintenance stations in Xuan Hoa and Xuan Duong communes. Currently, Dong Nai province is proposing the addition of another passenger station in Xuan Hoa commune.
