The quintessence of colors at the World Cultural Festival in Hanoi

The World Cultural Festival in Hanoi was held for the first time at the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long from October 10 to 12. The festival was organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in coordination with the Hanoi People's Committee.

With the philosophy of “Culture as the foundation - Art as the means”, the World Cultural Festival in Hanoi is positioned as a colorful festival where cultures meet, connect and shine together. This is not only an opportunity to introduce the quintessence of international culture to the Vietnamese public, but also an opportunity to promote the image of the country and people of Vietnam to friends around the world.

According to Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh, the festival is an important initiative to affirm the pivotal role of culture in sustainable development and a bridge connecting nations and peoples towards peace and prosperity. The event received strong support from the international community with nearly 50 embassies, international organizations, and foreign cultural centers participating. The festival will introduce 45 national cultural spaces, 33 food stalls, 16 international art troupes, 12 book introduction units and 20 countries participating in the film screening program.

During the festival, many rich activities will be held such as World Cultural Festival in Hanoi , International Cuisine Program, International Folk Dance and Fine Arts Festival, International Costume Festival - Ao Dai, 3D mapping performance, International Book Festival along with film programs, art exchanges and exhibitions.
