Students participating in ISEF 2025 are exempted from high school graduation exams

The Ministry of Education and Training has just issued a document on exemption from high school graduation exams and priority for direct admission to universities and colleges in 2025 for students attending ISEF 2025 in the United States.

Vietnamese students make history at Regeneron ISEF 2025

Official dispatch sent to Departments of Education and Training; universities, academies, colleges; colleges of Early ChildhoodEducation clearly states:

The delegation of Vietnamese officials, teachers and students participating in the 2025 International Science and Technology Research Competition held in Columbus, Ohio, USA from May 10, 2025 to May 16, 2025 according to Decision No. 946/QD-BGDDT dated April 9, 2025 of the Ministry of Education and Training has 11 12th grade students, specifically as follows:

The Ministry of Education and Training requests that the Departments of Education and Training exempt students on the above list from the 2024-2025 High School Graduation Exam according to the provisions of Clause 1, Article 39 of the High School Graduation Exam Regulations issued together with Circular No. 24/2024/TT-BGDDT dated December 24, 2024.

Universities, academies, colleges and junior colleges shall give priority to direct admission to universities and colleges in 2025 according to the provisions of Clause 2, Article 8 of the Regulations on university and college admissions for preschool education issued together with Circular No. 08/2022/TT-BGDDT dated June 6, 2022; amended and supplemented by Circular No. 06/2025/TT-BGDDT dated March 19, 2025 of the Minister of Education and Training for candidates whose names are on the list.

Previously, the Ministry of Education and Training also announced a list of 133 students exempted from the High School Graduation Exam; priority for direct admission to universities and colleges in 2025.

These are students in grade 12 of the 2024-2025 school year participating in the High School Student Selection Exam for national teams to compete in international and regional Olympics in 2025.

The 2025 International Science and Engineering Fair took place from May 10 to May 16 in the United States. The Vietnamese delegation participated with 9 projects that won high prizes in the 13th National Science and Engineering Fair for High School Students.

The selected projects come from Hanoi, Hai Phong, Thanh Hoa, Quang Tri, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City and the University of Science, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

The Vietnamese national delegation attending the International Science and Technology Fair this year has 31 members including officials and students.
