DTO - On the morning of April 24, in Cao Lanh City, a meeting was held to summarize the results of cooperation in 2024 and sign a cooperation memorandum for 2025 between the Border Guard Command of Dong Thap province and the Gendarmerie Command of Prey Veng province (Kingdom of Cambodia). Colonel Le Xuan Hai - Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of the Border Guard Command of Dong Thap province and Colonel Huy Vuthea - Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of the Gendarmerie Command of Prey Veng province co-chaired the meeting.
In 2024, the two sides regularly met, held talks, exchanged information, closely coordinated in border and border gate management and protection; effectively fought and prevented all types of crimes, promptly responded to increasingly complicated developments in the border area, contributing to maintaining security and order in the border areas of Dong Thap and Prey Veng provinces. Specifically, the two sides met, held talks, exchanged information directly and by phone 9 times, coordinated to resolve 3 cases/4 people related to traffic accidents and illegal entry and exit. Notably, Dong Thap Border Guard organized a medical delegation to examine and provide medicine for 1,200 Cambodian people. At the same time, they organized delegations to visit and congratulate each other on holidays and Tet of the two nations, helping each other within their capabilities; create favorable conditions for people on both sides of the border to visit relatives, receive medical treatment, exchange goods, etc., contributing to building a traditional, neighborly, friendly, united, friendly, cooperative relationship for mutual development.
