Attending the ceremony were Chairwoman of the Provincial Women's Union Nguyen Thi Kim Thoa, Chairwoman of the Giong Trom District Women's Union Vo Thi Thanh Thuy, representatives of local authorities and households receiving houses.
The first house was given to Ms. Vo Thi Tiem (born in 1950), residing in Binh Phu hamlet, Chau Binh commune, with a construction cost of 120 million VND. Of which, the Provincial Women's Union mobilized Hanoi Tourism Company to support 50 million VND, the Gratitude Fund of Giong Trom district supported 10 million VND, the rest was contributed by the family. and 20 working days.

The second house was given to Mr. Nguyen Vu Thanh (born in 1968), residing in Binh Long hamlet, Chau Binh commune, with a construction cost of 120 million VND. Of which, the Provincial Women's Union mobilized Hanoi Tourism Company to sponsor 50 million VND, the Gratitude Fund of Giong Trom district supported 10 million VND, the rest was contributed by the family and 20 working days.
Chairwoman of the Provincial Women's Union Nguyen Thi Kim Thoa said that the whole province has been focusing on implementing the policy of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the province. During the visit to Ben Tre to celebrate the 65th anniversary of Ben Tre Dong Khoi Day and the 65th anniversary of Long-haired Army Day, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union launched a campaign to call for support for policy families and households with housing difficulties. The two houses mentioned above are part of the Central Committee's call for support. The two houses were built spaciously and cozy, helping the families have a decent place to live and feel secure. The process of building the houses also received support and matching funds from the locality and the family to make the houses more neat.
On this occasion, the Provincial, District and Local Women's Unions also presented gifts to two households that received houses. It is known that, up to now, the Provincial Women's Union has mobilized the construction of 74 houses of gratitude and love, of which construction has been completed and some houses have been handed over. It is expected that the remaining houses will be completed and handed over by June 30, 2025.
