
Attending the conference were the Oxford University Clinical Research Unit in Hanoi (OUCRU Hanoi); upper-level hospitals and provincial hospitals: Thong Nhat Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City, Cho Ray Hospital, University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City, Gia Dinh People's Hospital, Can Tho Central General Hospital... and many universities outside Dong Thap province that are training health professionals.
Speaking at the opening ceremony and chairing the conference, Dr. Ta Tung Lam, Director of Dong Thap General Hospital, said: “This year’s scientific and technical conference is held to announce the outstanding research results of Dong Thap General Hospital and medical units carried out in the past time. The conference hopes to bring real benefits to medical examination and treatment in the coming time.”
According to Dr. Ta Tung Lam, the conference is an opportunity for medical staff to update new knowledge and exchange valuable experiences with teachers and medical experts from the Oxford University Clinical Research Unit, Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces.

At the conference, there were 32 valuable scientific reports in 4 conference sessions including: plenary session, obstetrics session, internal medicine-pediatrics session and nursing-pharmacy-paraclinical session.
The reports demonstrate creativity and enthusiasm and are expected to bring practical value and development direction to the hospital.
