The joint conference agreed on the expected content of the mid-2023 regular session of the 15th Provincial People's Council

On the morning of May 16, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council held a joint conference to unify the expected content of the regular mid-year session of 2023 - the 15th Provincial People's Council. Attending the conference were comrades: Pham Quang Ngoc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Bui Hoang Ha, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; comrades of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council; leaders of the Provincial People's Council Committees; Heads of the Provincial People's Council Delegation Groups, and leaders of a number of relevant departments, branches and sectors.

The mid-year session is scheduled to take place over 3 days from July 10-12, 2023. At this session, the Provincial People's Council will consider and approve 23 reports and 1 announcement from relevant departments and agencies. The Provincial People's Council will also consider, discuss and approve 16 draft resolutions and groups of resolutions.

Many resolutions have a direct impact on socio -economic development and ensuring social security in the province, such as: Draft Resolution Group on approving and adjusting investment policies for public investment projects; Draft Resolution on approving the adjustment of land price list for the period 2020 - 2023; Draft Resolution stipulating a number of policies to support tourism development in the province for the period 2023 - 2030; Draft Resolution stipulating the fee for elective subjects (English); training, fostering, organizing exams to grant certificates of information technology application for continuing education institutions from the 2023 - 2024 school year in the province; Draft Resolution amending a number of regulations on policies to support loans for start-up production and business for young people in the province; Draft Resolution on adjusting and supplementing a number of regulations on policies to support agricultural and rural economic development, etc.

At the conference, delegates discussed and clarified the legal basis, implementation resources, feasibility, and proposed reviewing and supplementing contents suitable to the practical situation of the resolutions passed at the regular mid-2023 session of the 15th Provincial People's Council.

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Pham Quang Ngoc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, on behalf of the Provincial People's Committee, received the opinions of the delegates. The Provincial People's Committee will direct relevant departments and branches to receive and complete the draft resolutions to submit to the Provincial People's Council. He also discussed and clarified the opinions of the delegates raised at the conference related to the issues of building a group of draft resolutions on approving and adjusting investment policies for public investment projects; a group of draft resolutions related to social protection policies; a group of draft resolutions related to policies to support socio-economic development, etc.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also gave suggestions to improve the quality of the questioning content at the meeting, thereby enhancing the accountability of the Provincial People's Committee and heads of sectors, creating consensus in society, meeting the requirements and expectations of voters.

Concluding the conference, Mr. Bui Hoang Ha, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, acknowledged the opinions of the delegates. At the same time, he discussed and clarified the authority to issue resolutions, resources for implementation, and improving the quality of questioning at the session. The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council requested the Committees of the Provincial People's Council to focus on examining reports and submissions at the session to ensure quality.
