On the side of Lai Chau province, there were comrade Ngo Xuan Hung - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment; representatives of leaders of provincial departments, branches, sectors, People's Committees of communes and wards; leaders of organizations and individuals operating in mineral exploitation in the province.

At the conference, delegates were introduced to and disseminated policies and new points to note in the Law on Geology and Minerals No. 54/2024/QH15 dated November 29, 2024 and documents detailing a number of articles and measures to implement the Law on Geology and Minerals; a number of regulations in circulars guiding the implementation of the law. At the same time, experts from the Department of Geology and Minerals of Vietnam exchanged and provided professional guidance on handling administrative procedures and resolving specific policies to remove difficulties and obstacles in implementing the Law on Geology and Minerals for people and businesses; and improve the State management capacity of civil servants directly receiving and handling administrative procedures related to licensing of mineral activities and mineral recovery.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Mr. Ngo Xuan Hung - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment emphasized: Law on Geology and Minerals No. 54/2024/QH15 dated November 29, 2024 and documents detailing a number of articles and measures to implement the Law on Geology and Minerals are an important legal toolkit to perfect the State management system, improve the efficiency of exploitation, economical and sustainable use of mineral resources - a special, limited and non-renewable asset of the country.
The dissemination of the Law on Geology and Minerals aims to ensure the unity, connectivity, transparency, and effective implementation of the Law in various forms, close to and practical in real life; at the same time, strengthen propaganda so that the Law quickly enters life, serving the goal of socio -economic development associated with environmental protection, climate change adaptation and sustainable development. Thereby, helping to stabilize the construction materials market, ensuring supply for key projects of the province, increasing revenue for the State budget.

Representatives of the Department of Legal Affairs and Control of Geological and Mineral Activities (Vietnam Geology and Minerals Department) answered questions on the implementation of laws on geology and minerals.
