Accordingly, in Vinh Thuan district, the delegation awarded 30 scholarships to students with difficult circumstances, overcoming difficulties, and studying well, each worth 2 million VND. The total cost of this scholarship awarding round is 60 million VND, mobilized by the Vietnam Journalists Association - Representative Office in Ho Chi Minh City, sponsored by Agribank.

30 scholarships were awarded to students in difficult circumstances in Vinh Thuan district ( Kien Giang ).

Speaking at the scholarship awarding ceremony, Ms. Ngo Thi Minh Thao, Deputy Director of Agribank Kien Giang II Branch, said that, in addition to business activities, Agribank Kien Giang II Branch is deeply aware of the significance of social security work. Every year, a part of the budget is allocated to support gratitude, humanitarian, charitable activities... contributing to the locality's successful implementation of hunger eradication, poverty reduction, education, health care, culture... development programs for people in the province.

Agribank Kien Giang II Branch hopes and believes that these scholarships will help students in difficult circumstances have more motivation to study, strive, and become useful citizens for their families and society.

At the ceremony, Chairman of the Kien Giang Journalists Association Le Thanh Phuong expressed his thanks to the sponsors who have accompanied the Journalists Association over the years. At the same time, he hoped that in the coming time, the Kien Giang Journalists Association will continue to receive support and companionship from the superior Association, Agribank and sponsors in implementing social security work in the area.

“For the students, each scholarship awarded today is considered a spring gift before the new year. I hope that they will try harder to study so as not to disappoint the expectations of their parents and teachers, especially the help of benefactors in the past who have supported, encouraged, created trust and accompanied them on their path of education,” Mr. Phuong said.
