Laboratory Quality Management Workshop

This morning (May 26), the Workshop on Testing Quality Management according to the criteria for assessing the quality level of medical laboratories according to Decision 2429/QD-BYT took place at Ca Mau General Hospital.

Speaking at the opening of the workshop, MSc. Dr. Dang Thuy Trang, Deputy Director of Ca Mau General Hospital, emphasized: "Test quality plays an important role in diagnosis and treatment. Accurate and reliable test results not only help doctors make timely and effective clinical decisions, but also contribute significantly to monitoring treatment response. Improving test quality not only benefits each patient but also helps improve public health in general, while affirming the prestige and professional capacity of the laboratory in the health system".

MSc. Dr. Dang Thuy Trang, Deputy Director of Ca Mau General Hospital, spoke at the workshop.

The workshop was attended by doctors and medical staff from hospitals, district health centers as well as general clinics across Ca Mau province. Over the course of the 2-day workshop (from May 26-27, 2025), medical experts from the Ho Chi Minh City Laboratory Standards Center and Cho Ray Hospital will share their experiences and knowledge in testing quality management with the province's medical staff at Ca Mau General Hospital.

MSc. Nguyen Dam Chau Bao, Head of the Calibration Department, Ho Chi Minh City Testing Calibration Center, conveyed information about the set of criteria for evaluating the quality level of testing laboratories.

Leading experts participating in the teaching include: MSc. Nguyen Dam Chau Bao, Head of the Calibration Department, Ho Chi Minh City Laboratory Calibration Center, MSc. Tran Thanh Ha Vy, Deputy Head of the Calibration Department, Ho Chi Minh City Laboratory Calibration Center, KS. Pham Van Quy, Deputy Head of the Calibration Department, Ho Chi Minh City Laboratory Calibration Center, Dr. Tran Thanh Vinh, Head of the Biochemistry Department, Cho Ray Hospital.

Medical staff and doctors at district levels attended the workshop.

After two days of training, students will be granted a certificate of continuing education, contributing to improving the capacity of testing quality management at medical units in the province.
