The opening ceremony of the 28th Ca Mau Provincial Youth Informatics Competition took place on the morning of May 27 at the Provincial ContinuingEducation Center.
The 28th Ca Mau Youth Informatics Contest in 2025 was jointly organized by the Provincial Youth Union, the Department of Education and Training, the Department of Science and Technology, and Ca Mau Telecommunications, attracting 147 contestants from primary, secondary and high schools from 9/9 districts and cities in the province. With their intelligence and cleverness, the contestants excellently passed the competition in 7 groups (AB-C1-C2-D1-D2-D3) and achieved high scores. To recognize and commend the students with high achievements in the contest, the Organizing Committee awarded 46 prizes to individuals and groups with high achievements.
After the opening ceremony, the contestants entered the competition.
For the first time at the contest, there is a D1 board for elementary school students to compete in programming.
Mr. Tran Dang Khoa, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, said: “This year's contest is even more important when the whole country is resolutely implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on "Breakthrough in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation". This is not only a practical activity in the summer but also a step to concretize the Party's policy in developing and promoting talents, forming a team of digital citizens with knowledge and courage, ready to contribute to building the homeland of Ca Mau to develop quickly and sustainably".
In particular, at this contest, for the first time, there is a D1 board for elementary school contestants to compete in programming, demonstrating the increasingly strong spread of the movement of learning and applying information technology in the smallest levels of education.
The Youth Informatics Competition is a meaningful annual activity aimed at arousing the passion for learning, exploring, creating and applying information technology among young people. Thereby, discovering and nurturing young talents, gradually forming a team of high-quality human resources in the field of IT, meeting the development requirements of the province in the digital transformation era.
Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department Nguyen Hong Tham and Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Tran Dang Khoa awarded 4 First prizes to individuals.
Through the contest, the Organizing Committee and the Jury will select the best faces to represent the province to participate in the regional contest in Ho Chi Minh City in July and the national contest in Hanoi in August.
Representative of Ca Mau Telecom presented the contest with 20 million VND.
