Golden bell contest to propagate and educate the law on preventing and combating human trafficking

This morning, July 11, at Dong Ha High School, the Office of the Ministry of Public Security in coordination with the Quang Tri Provincial Police and Dong Ha City Youth Union organized a golden bell contest to propagate, disseminate and educate the law on preventing and combating human trafficking. The contest attracted the participation of nearly 400 union members and youth in Dong Ha City.

According to a report by the Ministry of Public Security, in the first 6 months of 2024, there were 39 cases related to human trafficking nationwide; the police force prosecuted 35 cases/104 subjects for this act.

In Quang Tri province, the situation of human trafficking crimes is not as complicated as in other localities.

In 2023 and the first 6 months of 2024, the functional forces of Quang Tri province prosecuted 1 case/3 defendants for human trafficking; carried out support, reception and rescue work for 5 cases of suspected victims of human trafficking. Thereby, it can be seen that the crime of human trafficking has begun to pose a potential risk of complexity...

At the contest, 70 youth union members and young people participated in ringing the golden bell and answered questions related to the prevention of human trafficking; tricks of human trafficking criminals and ways to prevent them; regulations and sanctions of the law on punishing human trafficking...

At the end of the contest, the organizing committee awarded first prize to Nguyen Minh Dinh Thien, Dong Ha High School Youth Union and prizes to 4 youth union members who answered the contest's questions excellently.

As planned, the Golden Bell contest to propagate, disseminate and educate the law on preventing and combating human trafficking will continue to be organized by the Office of the Ministry of Public Security in coordination with the Quang Tri Provincial Police and Huong Hoa District Youth Union on July 12, 2024 in Huong Hoa district.
