On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day September 2, on August 16, at the Heritage Park of Vietnamese Scientists (Thung Nai commune, Phu Tho province), the Heritage Museum of Vietnamese Scientists (MEDDOM) in collaboration with the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations organized the opening of the exhibition "Contributions of Vietnamese scientists in the cause of national construction and defense."
Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu Tho Province Bui Duc Hinh said that the exhibition "Contributions of Vietnamese scientists in the cause of national construction and defense" is the result of more than a year of careful preparation built from the precious archives, artifacts and memories of the Vietnam Scientists Heritage Museum.
With the approach through the stories of scientists, historical witnesses, and through physical evidence, the exhibition brings to the public profound, authentic, and touching stories about scientists and the journey of Vietnamese science throughout 80 years of building, protecting, and developing the country.
At the same time, this activity aims to honor the contributions of Vietnamese intellectuals, contributing to spreading authentic stories and inspiring achievements of generations of scientists to the general public.

More than 150 outstanding scientists and nearly 200 valuable documents and artifacts are introduced at the exhibition.
The content is divided into two topics: “Defending the Fatherland” and “Building and developing the country.” It recounts the contributions of scientists in the resistance war, from research and manufacturing of weapons, ensuring healthcare to scientific research activities to improve techniques to serve the resistance war.
At the same time, honor research works, inventions, and solutions applied to practical life and production, contributing to the development of fields such as agriculture, health, education, national defense, technology, and environment since peace was restored until now.
Many touching stories and documents and artifacts published for the first time bring the public a close, authentic, and inspiring perspective on the development journey of Vietnamese science from 1945 to the present.
According to the Organizing Committee, the exhibition will last for more than 5 years, with content updated periodically to bring new and exciting experiences to viewers. This is also an ideal destination for those who love history, science and want to explore the great silent contributions of Vietnamese scientists in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland./.
