On the morning of July 5th, the opening ceremony of the Pickleball Tournament "Giving Cool Fans to Children - Nurturing Knowledge" took place at the Picklezone Vinh Heritage complex (Vinh Heritage urban area, Nghe An ).

Attending the ceremony were Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thuy - Member of the Central Committee of the Youth Union, Vice President of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Nghe An province, President of the Vietnam Youth Union of Nghe An province; Journalist Tran Quang Long - Head of the Tien Phong Newspaper Representative Office in the North Central Region; Mr. Nguyen Danh Nam - Deputy Head of the Sports Management Department, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Mr. Ho Phuc Hai - Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Head of the Youth Union and Youth Affairs Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung - Vice President, Head of the Social Affairs Committee, Young Entrepreneurs Association of Nghe An province, along with representatives of the sponsors and more than 300 athletes participating in the tournament.

The participating units presented symbolic plaques representing 150 ceiling fans to the organizing committee for installation for students in mountainous areas of Nghe An province.

The Pickleball Tournament "Giving Cool Fans to Children - Nurturing Knowledge" is organized by the Standing Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union in coordination with Tien Phong Newspaper, the Nghe An Department of Education and Training, and the Nghe An Young Entrepreneurs Association. The aim is to create a healthy playground, enhance interaction and learning, and encourage the practice of Pickleball in Nghe An province; contributing to the continued successful implementation of the "All People Practice Physical Training Following the Example of the Great President Ho Chi Minh" movement among the people.

Through this tournament, the Organizing Committee launched the charitable program "Cool Fans for Children - Nurturing Knowledge" and hopes to spread the message calling on the community to join hands in mobilizing social resources to purchase and install ceiling fans for schools in mountainous areas of Nghe An province before the start of the new school year, thereby contributing to improving the learning and living conditions for students. To date, the Organizing Committee has received donations totaling nearly 200 million VND.

At the event, the Secretariat of the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union also launched the "Nghe An Youth Pickleball Club" with 14 members.

The club was established with the goal of connecting young people who love sports, especially Pickleball - a new and exciting sport that is being warmly received by young people. This is not only a place for physical training but also a place to connect, spread positive energy and a beautiful spirit of life within the youth community of Nghe An.

Reportedly, the tournament featured 155 pairs competing with over 300 athletes. This included 72 pairs competing at level 4.2; 36 pairs at level 4.4; and 25 pairs at level 4.8. Additionally, 22 pairs competed in the mixed doubles category.

The organizing committee presented letters of thanks to the sponsors and partners who supported the tournament.

By participating in the tournament, athletes have the opportunity to win trophies and many attractive prizes of significant value from the tournament sponsors. The total prize value amounts to 100,000,000 VND. Throughout the tournament, the Organizing Committee has arranged areas for snacks and drinks to ensure the health of the competing athletes.

The tournament is known to be held on a grand scale, professionally, and officiated by experienced referees, 100% of whom hold Pickleball referee certifications, including one national referee. The referee team is committed to officiating the tournament objectively and fairly for its success.

The organizers presented commemorative gifts, including handheld fans and keychains, to the athletes participating in the competition.

After the opening ceremony, the matches in the 4.2 competition and other categories will take place. The tournament will take place at the Picklezone Vinh heritage court cluster (Vinh Heritage urban area, Nghe An) on July 5 and 6.
